CHARLOTTE SOONER ALERT!!!

Kirk with Ryan would be a match made in heaven. He would have made the catch last week.

Maybe it’s just me, but Calvin Ridley at 8 feels high.

Yeah so much of this depends on needs and if there are other players at that position that are close to the number one player that you can get in later rounds.

I was a huge fan out him at WVU. Dude was a beast. Big, fast, good hands, could seperate and knew how to win 50/50 balls.

8. Calvin Ridley, Bears (Alabama)
God I hope not. I wanna see him with an actual QB

I don’t see Courtland Sutton dropping to 27. IMO he’s the best WR in the class.

Yeah it's like getting asked to make a perfect bracket every year and then getting nationally ridiculed as soon as a 5 upsets a 12

But LSU fans assured us Guice was the best RB and Key was a first rounder

Is he? We shall see.

Literally every other mock draft has Guice in the 1st round.
Mel Kiper hasn't been near good the past few years and even brought out the "stats don't matter" argument to say that Josh Allen should go #1.
Josh Allen is the worst 1st round QB and shouldn't be a top 10 pick, but this QB class is so limited that they had to boost someone else up.
Josh Rosen should go #1 if anything, or even Darnold.
But I agree on Arden Key not being a first rounder, maybe not even a second rounder.

I get it running backs don't tend to get drafted early, but Michel is easily the best rb in this draft.
Easily better than Barkley? Don’t know about that. I think Barkley will be great in the NFL.

Why not, though? He's talented and in a position that lots of NFL teams need. Questions about his work ethic?

NFL teams in the south should load up with SEC guys, but for some reason they don’t. Would help attendance etc

Dude will be lucky to run under a 4.55, is a mediocre route runner on a good day, doesn't catch with his hands, has no quick twitch to his game, and generally succeeded by just being bigger and stronger than everyone he played against at that level.

His accuracy is anemic. Not even in the same galaxy as Rosen and Darnold, imo. But neither one of those guys are even close to sure things. QB is a terrible thing to need in this draft.

Kiper on clausen
While sparring with fellow draft analyst Todd McShay, Kiper made the following declaration: "If Jimmy Clausen is not a successful quarterback in the NFL, I'm done. That's it. I'm out."
McShay asked the following question: "What is your time frame, Mel? When do we make that assessment?"
Kiper answered "I want eight years."
McShay countered, "It will only take three years, Mel. We can tell inside three years."
Kiper replied, "I want eight."

Really wish he had done so.
I think he legitimately gets a few scoops from teams, but only because he is willing to publish informational smoke screens as fact, when said teams are trying to divert attention away from their real plans.
