JFF sat out the equivalent of 2 games during the regular season.

You saw the Mizzou game and inferred he played that long the whole year.

Of course we padded his stats that game; it was his final showing before Heisman voting. The week before he played one half and a single possession.

Just a terrible and inconsistent list. Penalize one guy for being a one year phenom and ignore others. Reward some for NFL play and ignore others. Reward some for team success and ignore others.

The one place arguments of this guy vs that guy are less relevant as the huge inconsistencies. Essentially your Top 10 (in whatever order) has to include Tebow, Cam, VY, Leinert, Vick, and Manziel because they were all true difference makers with tremendous accomplishments. There are others as well you could put in there and you can shuffle them based on various valuations but dropping Cam to 16 and Manziel to 36 is just ridiculous.

VY was truly an incredible player and at times was just unstoppable but he was not that way his entire career. His first 2 seasons he rushed for about 1k yards and passed for around 1500 while throwing slightly more picks than TD's. He was nearly replaced several times and folks thought he may be a bust because he couldn't throw. He did have 2 great Rose Bowls and a great Jr year (though he struggled in a few games there as well, notably against a bad A&M team that cost him the Heisman) but he can't claim the best individual season (which is either Cam or Manziel) or certainly career excellence. He also played on a team loaded with NFL talent. He also certainly isn't helped by his NFL career. VY is clearly a Top 5 QB but I don't know how he is #1.

BTW, Vick did have talent around him including a DE that was very hyped. Mainly though he played in a weak Big East and until the NC game didn't play anyone better than #16. He was great without question though and clearly a Top 10.

Did that against Arkansas too, early in the season....Keep trying to defend it. So now you are saying he padded stats the last game, good of you to admit, but what about the 2 games early in the season where he was playing with a big lead in the 4th, throwing the ball and running TDs?

Pulled with 10 minutes left in the game. You're mad he played just over 3 quarters?

You're just wrong. The game against SMU? Didn't play the 4th quarter. Game against South Carolina State? Didn't play the second half.

So again, you don't know what you're talking about.

The kid sat out at least 2 games in the regular season.

AJ sat out the equivalent of about 5 games during the regular season.

Still went 30 TDs and only 3 INTs

AJ best QB in the country by a mile.

I know you put "Athlon" in your subject line, but you meant "Bleacher Report" right?

Right?

I like this Ag fan. He thinks Ingram was a better college RB than AP. We' re gonna have to make him an honorary gump

Well, its a pretty simple formula using the transitive property.

We've already been assured by many Bama fans through STATISTICS that Ingram was better than Bo.

And we all know that Bo is/was better than AP.

Ergo Ingram is/was better than AP.

QED!

He sat out the second half once this year.

He sat out the 4th quarter 5 times in the regular season(one of which is accounted for in the single second half sitting; so it's really like 4 times).

So that's about a game and a half. Where are the other 3 1/2 games? That's 14 quarters I need you to account for.

A.J. played about as much as Johnny, maybe a little more.

Auburn had 3 first round caliber linemen, including 2 tackles?

2010 Auburn had OT Lee Ziemba (7th round, 2011 draft), OT Brandon Mosley (4th round, 2012 draft), OG Mike Berry (undrafted), OG Byron Isom (undrafted), and C Ryan Pugh (undrafted).

AJ McCarron sure gets a lot of points for BCS Championships...

IMO, the key stats are yardage and TDs...

Alabama's wins off of a punishing running game, and huge line play...

Chris Weinke and Colt McCoy should both be above him...so should Cam Newton

I see AJ McCarron as Rex Grossman part II...he's way too high on that list

Cam was the most dominant player I've ever seen in one season in the SEC. This list is a joke.

I respect the hell out of Newton and his time at Auburn. Not sure how you can't.
