Cam Netwon not only won the Heisman, SEC Championship, National Championship, undefeated season....but did it all on his own back. That was a complete rebuilding year for them. Manziel did not even win the SEC West and had 2 all-american tackles to protect him. If Manziel can repeat what he did last year or lead his team to the SECCG, I would agree to put Manziel where he is on the list.

Auburn had 3 first round caliber linemen, including 2 tackles?

No it wasn't. They had ~20 seniors including a bunch of returning starters. Everyone knew going into 2010 that it was a 1 year window for Auburn because of personnel and schedule. 2011 was the rebuilding year

I am confused. Auburn had 1 OL drafted in the 7th round, the 10th pick from the bottom in 2011, and a late 4th rounder in 2012.....doesn't sound like a "solid" o-line to me.....

Oh, so they have to get drafted to be labeled solid in college?

Dont know how anyone can say Tebow isnt #1

should be

1. Tebow
2. VY
3. Cam

also AJ top 5? RG3 and Luck top 10? really?

also that houston qb with 20k yards should get top 10 for just stats alone

So just to be clear--you're holding a short tenured career against Manziel, but not Cam.

Manziel also won a Heisman and surpassed Cam in the record books. He lost two games by a combined 8 points. He had a kicker hit just 59% for the year. He ate up more yardage than any SEC QB ever--and did it at a younger age than his counterparts.

He had two great tackles, yes. But no one pass rushes JFF. Ask LSU--they beat us with containment. Having elite bookends would lend more credence to your point if they were needed like they are for a Tyler Wilson or AJ. JFF's at his best when the shite hits in the fan.

But whether JFF belongs above Cam isn't the point; I'm not even arguing that. There's just no way there are 35 better QBs than JFF the last ~15 years.

Tebow had superb defenses.

TAMU's 2012 defense ranked similarly to 2010 AU--giving up more yards and slightly less points.

Comparable offenses though.

Yes, but the great defenses undoubtedly contributed to the titles Tebow won.

And if we're holding Manziel's empty championship case against him, it's not unfair to dig into why others' are filled.

And let's be honest... Johnny is far better than Tebow.

If one of the criteria for this list is longevity, I don't think you're going to see much bitching out of us. Who cares?

Not sure about how my Tebow padded stats, but Manziel was in the 4th quarter up 34 throwing for 90+ yards and a rushing TDs....P.A.D dem stats!

Again, JFF is a good QB, much better than people anticipated. If he can perform with any consistency next season, I will certainly put him among the top 20 QBs of the last 15 years
