Cam Newton was the most dominant quarterback on the list. The only thing holding him back is his body of work over an entire career. He was only able to dominate 1 year because he was already PRO ready. His 2010 season, when considering stats, accomplishments, and surrounding cast, is the best a quarterback has ever had.

Cam at 16 is laughable.
How anyone can say there are 35 better QBs than JFF in the last ~15 years is beyond comprehension.

36. Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M* (2011-present) Stats: 3,706 yds, 26 TD, 9 INT, 68.0%, 1,410 yds, 21 TD
Seems legit.

No Ryan Mallett or Matt Jones? AYSM?

How is Mike Vick ahead of Johnny Football and Cam Newton? Statistically, both were better, and Cam Newton lead his team to a BCSNC. Makes no sense.

Newton was the best college player I think I have ever seen. Not just quarterback. He was unstoppable. he was the team. Still hate him.

Michael Vick was Virginia Tech football. He single-handedly led them to an undefeated regular season and had them leading Florida State going into the 4th quarter of the national championship game. I know we Alabama fans like to say Cam Newton was the only player on that '10 Auburn team but truth is he was surrounded by talented offensive linemen, receivers, and running backs that elevated his play.
You can't say the same for Michael Vick and the '99 Virginia Tech Hokies. Vick was the heart and soul of that team.

VY had a defense--and a good one at that. Cam didn't.
VY was pedestrian his sophomore year save the Rose Bowl.
You can absolutely make an argument that Cam was more dominant.

And Texas was still an elite team after VY. Look at Auburn since Cam left.
Edit: Same thing with Nebraska after Tommie Frazier left in the 90's, they were still elite.

Meh, Vick deserves props for making that title game competitive against an outstanding FSU team, but I'd still stake JFF.

I'm sure I can find a laundry list of QBs with worse stats than Johnny that made it to the BCSNCG.
How that justifies a 30 place differential is beyond me.

Outside of his two legendary Rose Bowl performances, Vince Young was largely unspectacular during the majority of his time at Texas. His completion percentage was very poor his first two seasons, his career rating was only 144.9 and even during he 2005 title season he had about five very "meh" games and almost cost his team a chance at the title with a dreadful game against an awful A&M defense. He spent the majority of his career as solely a running thread who really scared nobody throwing the ball. In hindsight all people remember are the Rose Bowl games (both largely the result of defenses that couldnt stop his running) but nobody remembers that Texas fans spent 2/3rds of his time there considering him a bust who should be pulled.

That list is shite without Tyson Lee and Wesley Carroll.

Johnny had 2 All-American Tackles and an All-American defensive end to help him out on D. Name one player of that quality on VT's football 1999 football team not named Micheal Vick.
