I was a financial analyst and banker for years. I’ve been saying for three years LSU was broke, their athletic model was incapable of sustaining. It’s not rocket science, simple addition and subtraction. Look at revenues. Look at expenses. This decade LSU has been bleeding red ink. Factor in a $180,000,000 debt owed to football coaches for small school with an embarrassment of an endowment. Worse yet LSU is seriously considering converting a public income stream to a private owner. Without that, the LSU athletic department is facing a $50-75 million dollar loss every year. So for you swamp idiots to maintain your minor league pro football team, you have to wipe out all the other men and women student athletes who might actually be seeking an education Your financial plan doesn’t work, the ignorance of the tshirt base argument not withstanding.

Absolutely…it’s amazing to think that LSU owes 1/5 of their University endowments to football coaches? That’s fricked up .

Congrats on the Super Bowl win buddy but shouldn’t you be worried about the game your teams playing in the Swamp in about 36 hours?

For reference Bama Football had a surplus of $65 million last year and the athletics department had a surplus of $33 million overall. Bama is old money. We know how and when to spend our money. All of LSU’s shite is on credit.
