Florida was one of the ones who voted for 1-7. Besides the UGA game they are willing to drop Tenn and LSU.
One of the 3/6 scenarios has UF getting Oklahoma and South Carolina for the other 2 permanent games. If that’s the case why would we vote for 3/6

What scenario are you referencing?

I know there will never be consensus for this, but for Arkansas I would like to see our 3 solid teams as: Texas, LSU, and Ole Miss

The only rivalry game(s) being eliminated (if they even are) are Auburn vs. Bama (which as an Auburn alum, I could give two-blanks about), Arkansas vs. LSU, and the potential return of Texas vs. Texas A&M. Meanwhile, Auburn gets to play UGA and Florida every year (which should have always been the case), and the SEC gets two more games for revenue generation, showcasing the conference, etc.
P.S. I don't know the feelings for Arkansas, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M fans on the matter, but if it's that big of a deal, the conference can always keep it at: 3 divisional games, 1 permanent out-of-division game, and 5 rotational games.

I agree. LSU, Texas, Arkansas and Ole Miss would be a solid pod.
A&M instead of Texas would be ok too.

I'd love to see State, LSU, and Arkansas for the Rebs

You have four posts since November 2019. You are an alter and probably not an Auburn fan or alum.
Kindly GTFO

I'd be pretty shocked if Arkansas doesn't get Missouri and Oklahoma. Geography just needs to be considered at some level. I think they should get Texas too, as I imagine that's their number one.

Why/how would nonmembers get a vote?

Assuming they did three fixed Arkansas should definitely have Texas and Missouri. The third could be Oklahoma, A&M, LSU, or Ole Miss depending on other factors.
There's important history with Texas and Missouri's most rational opponent for a SEC rival is Arkansas.

What do you think LSU is voting on at this time?
My understanding is we’re voting 3-6 because the 9th game will increase revenue.
USCe and Florida are pushing 1-7 the most from what I’m hearing

Like I suspected, that "equitable scheduling" really screws everything up. This is only three games, you don't need equitable scheduling, everybody is going to have more than three difficult games a year regardless. It's way better for the health of the league to focus on making the annual games the best possible matchups.
In that SI scenario, other than Texas and LSU, every single team has games that, at best, could be better, and in many cases just make no sense.

Pretty much the worst discrepancy between two teams there could possibly be, is like the difference between Auburn getting Alabama, Georgia, Florida and say a Vandy getting Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ole Miss.
So, yeah, Auburn could get like 6 really difficult games in a season like Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, A&M, and Tennessee and that would leave 5 (say Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma) in the other years.
But Vandy's schedule will be something like Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Florida, A&M or Tennessee, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas and Auburn.
So Auburn would have a couple more games against theoretically the biggest teams in a 4 year period than Vandy, and thats really the most lopsided difference you can have, and its Vandy that's be getting that "advantage", so whatever. Vandy already cannot play "an easy game" against themselves, for example.

I would be fine with OU and Mizz but would want the third to be a traditional SEC team like OM or LSU instead of Texas or AM..
