I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that you’re not a ULL fan.

I grew up in Lafayette when it was first SLI & then USL. Their basketball teams under Beryl Shipley were the best in the State, heads & shoulders above any LSU team. I was a huge fan & would follow them on road trips around the State. At the same time, I was a huge fan of LSU football & had family season tickets going back to 1961. But eventually USL fans made you choose one team or another, the hate was so strong among a hard core USL fan base. Not all USL fans but I & many LSU fans in Lafayette back then got tired of the B.S and chose to support LSU only. There is a reason why there are bama jerseys all over Lafayette when LSU plays bama.

What you wrote above explains a lot about a certain poster on this site. His hatred is apparent. All his posts are a recycle of a handful of phrases.

The rivalry between LSU and ULL fan bases has gotten pretty crazy in baseball.

Better question: Should ULL even have a football team?

ULL is a solid program that has access to good recruits. If they stopped trying to one up LSU and develop their own brand, they could really grow.

LSU would cry to new levels because that would break their monopoly of one SEC school in the state. People could choose to play in the SEC and not have to be in Baton Rouge.

Guess what? The average Southerner is dumb, fat, and poor. Have some awareness of your State and its residents.

You mean the University of Louisiana?

Can you please link the academic website for this institution? As life long Louisiana resident, I was unaware this place existed.

Hoping you can help out. Thanks.

Since most people on this site tend to lean towards the Law in Order type philosophy (I tend to as well), and believe that the US Constitution is the Law of the Land and that which is not defined as the jurisdiction of the Federal Government is defacto under each State's Constitution (i.e. 10th Amendment), there is no such legal entity as as the University of Louisiana. There is a University of LA System of which the following schools are part of, LA Tech, UNO, ULL, ULM, NW LA, SE LA, Mcneese State, Nichols State and Grambling State.

The State Law clearly states both ULL and ULM most include Lafayette and Monroe in all official designations for the University. The System President is actually the former Chancellor or NW LA. Now, the state Law did not address athletic monikers. So ULL putting Louisiana's Ragin Caguns has been a point of contention and the LA Supreme Court has not weighed in on it nor has the State Legislature passed laws to further clarify if the use of Lousiaian's Ragin Cajuns for Sports Monikers is a violation of the law.

One of the reasons UNO asked for the Governor and LA legislature to pass a law to move them from the LSU System, which they were since its founding in the 1950's (then LSU-NO), was to get into the UL System since there is no clear Flagship vs. branch campus structure in that System vs. the LSU System. UNO is not a branch campus of ULL or LA Tech or ULM nor or any of those campuses a branch campus of UNO, etc, etc, etc.

That's cute. Vegas also had the O/U at 7.5 for LSU last year.

Cute? I don’t calculate the odds.
As I said in another thread, Vegas big time flubbed LSU this year.

I like our Sam Pittman hire, but here's the type stuff we deal with in Northwest Arkansas:

during the coaching search, two douchebag radio guys called "Ruscin & Zach" were helping the GOBN run game against Lane Kiffin, trashing him everyday, and then they started making fun of callers who suggested Billy Napier.

Their actual spill, every other day if not every day, was that 1) they didn't know who Billy Napier was, 2) they didn't care (these are "sports radio guys") and 3) anyone who suggested Billy Napier must be an idiot, or if not an idiot, then just not cool basically. Ruscin and Zach didn't know Napier, so it wasn't cool to suggest Napier.

They had Gus Malzahn's dick in their mouths the entire time, wanting him, and then openly supported fricking Eli Drinkfag because Drinkfag is one of the "Gus guys"

these douchebags spent most of the coaching search whining on their show everyday about how they were being trashed on message boards

Yes. I was thinking since so many here have so much at stake with the "University of Louisiana" thing that it would certainly be based in fact and not a weak attempt at trolling.

I continue to give asshats here far too much credit

If it would give LSU fans a healthy outlet for their obsessions and insecurities, then sure. I’d love to see a “Battle of the Bayou” type rivalry or whatever it will be called.
