One NC in five decades.

Pathetic.

It’s similar to the entire 2020 season

Notre Dame did not play bowl games because they did not wanna chance losing in the Rose Bowl. Plus in the Rose Bowl they did not have the refs giving them game after game like playing at home or in the Northeastern US. Very similar to how Neyland at Tennessee basically was the head ref in his own games played in Knoxville. 100's of times after plays were over Neyland would bark at the refs and a flag would be thrown.

If we're taking a poll then mark me down is relegate the bowl game results to the aforementioned scrimmage category and I applaud you for bringing this to our attention.

Sorry you only won 5 regular season games that season.

But yes, your best player did opt out for the whole season.

You're not wrong. A lot of bowl rosters don't accurately represent the roster that got them there and it's a real hodge podge of starters and back ups for both teams. I will say, even in losses, somehow these hodge podges have given us some surprisingly exciting games vs Illinois and ND.

Have you even watched football recently? Opt-outs are at 7-8 year lows. Kids want to play. If they don’t, that’s a stain on the program and you deserve to lose.

You mean kids who don’t play for your team? Why would they play for you?

The question all Missouri players ask themselves.

Unless a team makes the playoffs, today’s bowl games feature mass opt outs and transfers. In many match ups, the two teams that play are not the same teams that played during the regular season. In most cases for power 4 teams, non playoff bowls are now glorified 2nd team scrimmages to help prepare for the next season. We don’t count preseason basketball scrimmages towards a team’s record. Should we do the same in football?

Absolutely not.

What do we look like, LSU?

Okay. Well Mississippi lost its relevancy in football because of racism on steroids so everyone has their issues.

So now Bama fans say games shouldn’t count because of opt outs….

Yes. Loyalty matters. Don’t sign mercenaries and then bitch about having mercenaries.
