Yes. It would help Mizzou out a lot to beat the #1 team in the country in a couple weeks. Beating #3 won't do as much for our playoff chances

I just know in the past with much better wins like Bama has and a better SOS you could overcome a 1 loss difference in record. Not sure they want to do that to undefeated teams this early though.

A&M has the next best overall win, over #12 Notre Dame
Ohio State has the third best overall win among undefeated teams, over #20 Texas
As no one has more than one win over a ranked opponent, that would be the most objective.
BYU is undefeated and also has a top 25 win; Georgia Tech is 2 spots above them with no ranked wins (and it's debatable that the ACC is particularly stronger than the Big 12).

A&M has looked like the best team to me since early October. I think they'd light up Ohio State at this point. Have only seen highlights of IU so don't really know how good they are since they play in such a crap conference.
