I'll give a run down on the team below. I ask that you remain completely unbiased with your post, and contribute appropriately with your posts in this off-season thread. There will be plenty created, I am sure, and I think it would be cool for a fan of each SEC school to make one and keep up with predictions. Anyways, without further delay...

Key Losses:
CB Chris Davis

RB Tre Mason
S Ryan Smith
S Ryan White
DE Nosa Eguae

Full 2014 Football Schedule:
Aug. 30 ARKANSAS AUBURN

Sept. 13 ** Open Date **
Sept. 20 at Kansas State Manhattan, KS

Oct. 4 LSU AUBURN
Oct. 11 at Mississippi State Starkville, MS
Oct. 18 ** Open Date **
Oct. 25 SOUTH CAROLINA AUBURN

Nov. 8 TEXAS A&M AUBURN
Nov. 15 at Georgia Athens, GA
Nov. 22 SAMFORD AUBURN
Nov. 29 at Alabama Tuscaloosa, AL

TTsTowel's take: With another year in the Gus Malzahn system, and the pending return of nearly every meaningful player (don't get me wrong, we will miss some of the guys listed above), it seems like Auburn will have another chance to be good in 2014. Tough games @Alabama, @Georgia, @Kansas State, vs South Carolina, and vs LSU are the games to watch, IMO. Expect to see a drop-off at the production of running backs by small margin, but an increase in the production of the passing game after an off-season with Nick Marshall or Jeremy Johnson taking the field (will improve with either player). I am not really sure what to expect on defense, but the front 7 should be improved with some question marks in the secondary. The special teams will take a hit at kicker and punter, for sure. I see anywhere from 9 to 11 wins next season.

This is going to be a long off-season!

I think teams will be prepared for your offense and you lose 2 SEC games.

They'll be really good again and challenge for the west. Thank God Mason is gone although I wish him the best.

That's a tough November, you go into LSU undefeated. I see 10-2 to 9-3 which is also how I see LSU and Bamas seasons ss a possibility as well

We're going to miss him. It's hard to find players with that kind of drive to be great.

I hope he has a successful NFL career, even though he hasn't technically declared, yet.

I'm thinking 3 losses. Improved run defense but a dropoff in the secondary and pass rush.

I expect the auburn offense to drop off a little bit, but a slight dropoff. Mason is a great talent and losing talented linemen always hurts, but they're still going to be able to move the ball. Marshall just isn't a great passer and never will be. If the offense gets "figured out" then I think 4-5 losses is likely.

wut?

Robinson
Ford
Mason
Davis
Prosch
Parkey
Clark

those are some of the biggest contributors on this team and I don't see any comparable replacements outside of C.Lawson for Dee Ford.

yall are going to need a big year out of Roc because CAP was disappointing this year and Corey Grant cant do what Mason did.

Can we get at least 24 hours to bask in Auburn failure before we move on?

RB won't be a tough position to replace if Mason does leave imo. And I think Mincy is just as good as Davis at corner, we could also move Holsey over there who started at safety but got hurt.

Exactly, I think you will miss the K, P, and Prosch far more than you realize.

It also looks like you will have avery young secondary next year- oh I guess I thought that Therezie was gone, so I guess it should be about the same.

Auburn should be decent, but I am not sure they will hit the same heights as this year. Also depends on how the other teams shake out.

Getting Garrett back means Therezie might move into the secondary. Holsey coming back will be huge and I agree with you on Mincy.

Apart from maybe Arkansas and Mississippi State, any team in the west can win the division. No one knows anything at this point--unknowns abound. Shoot, even in the case of Arkansas & State ... look what Gus pulled off from last year to this year?

Anyone who says Bama/LSU/Auburn/OM/A&M/whomever will finish on top or at the bottom is just making up stuff, like the rest of the crowd.

What a great group of teams & coaches.

Forgot about Garrett, next year could be our best defense in a long arse time.

Josh Holsey can fill Chris Davis' role at corner, Shon Coleman or Avery Young will fill Greg Robinson's role at left tackle, Ricky Parks will fill Jay Prosch's role at fullback, and I have already stated that losing Cody Parkey and Steven Clark was huge.

Greg Robinson will be drafted in the 1st round, BTW.

What, disappointing?

610 rushing yards, 6.7 YPC average, and 6 touchdowns is bad? He and Tre Mason were head to head for much of the season, but Gus Malzahn rode the hot hand after Tre Mason exploded.

You are off base in your assessment.

And Corey Grant won't be expected to fill Tre Mason's role.
