LSU at Austin, Texas A&M at Clemson.

Where will College Gameday go?

I believe it will be Clemson.

Austin

ESPN/National Media loves their Texas plus its the bigger matchup story.

I think A&M can catch Clemson early with the losses on their D but Mond and the secondary will have to play really well

Trevor Lawrence and Ross will be a big problem for everyone next year

Depends on how highly they rank LSU / Texas going into the year. If they are both top 10s, I could see it being Austin. They are itching for Texas to be in the spotlight again.

LSU Texas will be top 10 if they overrate Texas.

aTm will have to hope they just want to go to Clemson because no one cares about Aggie.

I’ll go with LSU/UT. Usually takes aTm the full month of September to get into the top 10. Then it all comes crashing down once October rolls around.

LSU/Texas...Aggies still have much to prove before national recognition.

Don't underestimate the media's annual favorite September talking point which is "Texas is Back!"

They love to hype that conversation and may realize that this is their only chance to have it.

There is a decent chance we're in the Top 10 at the time. Here are the "way-too-early" rankings:
quote:

Mandel 10
Espn 9
Athlon 10
Sporting News 11

I've seen UT typically between 7-10 and LSU 5-10 in those same rankings.

UT will be a bigger draw than any other team that week because of the "Texas is back" nonsense. ESPN will be creaming themselves to play that game at 7 PM and will have game day to promote it.

LSU is going to kick Texas arse and Notre Dane will beat Georgia and the fricking shame of the Georgia bulldogs will be complete

I would assume they’d go to the home of the reigning NC.

I say Austin. It will be their only real opportunity go there because of 1. their home schedule almost always sucks & 2. they'll have a winning record. I expect closer to 6 wins than 10 in 2019.

"Second" is the key phrase in the title of this thread, and first week has not been kind to Texas.

I'm not assuming that Texas will be Top 10 in the second week.
