I’ve attended games in most of the stadiums around the country over the years. The old Orange Bowl at Miami was probably the worst but most entertaining venue I’ve ever been at. Fights outside the stadium pregame to multiple fights inside during the game to fights in the parking lot after the game. ...

Every conference is top heavy. The SEC just has more teams (3 maybe 4) than the other conferences.
Big 10 - 2
Big 12 - 2
PAC - Utah
ACC - Clemson ...

This is truly one of the reasons I love college football. Both fan bases are already looking past this week.

Actually...La Tech beats the aggies on opening day. Sumlin and Kingsbury had the reigns on Manziel early and Tech could score. As evidenced by the close game against Tech later in the year.
However...the aggies beat Florida the next week with less “structured” plays that Manziel was never comfort...

Just a theory...but when Memphis is good (Calapari days and it seems Penny is recruiting well now) I think this derails Arkansas on maybe one or two players.
Arkansans can look it up but am I completely off my rocker? Doesn’t Arkansas recruit Memphis pretty hard?...

I actually know a part of the original question on money allotment. Mizzou’s first check ($30mm+) from the SEC had to go to visiting teams facilities such as locker rooms, etc. as dictated by the SEC for inclusion.
Now after that...I have no clue but it appears the monies are going into football ...

Dude...you’re really missing out if football is all you’re invested in. Granted...FB is my #1 too but generally game day is all you get to experience as the local bars and restaurants are all jammed up.
Take a weekend and follow basketball or baseball on the road...Americana at its finest!!...

Checked out a couple games at Minute Maid over the weekend. Them Aggies have some arms and a well coached team....
