LSU’s defense is generally good. But they make mistakes at the worst possible moments.

LSU’s defense is generally talented AF even with injuries, but Blake Baker shits his fricking pants at the worst possible moments.

I realize I sound like an emotional nut, but I think I will be proven correct in the long term — I’m over Blake Baker & don’t think there’s really anything he can do to win me back.

Hardly seems fair. We don't get to play ourselves and pad our defensive stats!

Kinda a misleading stat for Bama. That’s not Womacks mindset, his philosophy is Bend don’t break and force turnovers, so teams will move the ball between the 20s on us. I hate it.

Would you rather pad stats or work in backups and build depth?

I'm fine with whatever Kirby thinks will help the team.

They've played two offenses with a pulse and gave up 32 and 35 respectively.

LSU overall is #1
When you narrow it down to against ranked opponents, they're #9 in the SEC (413.5 ypg)

Clemson, La Tech, McNeese State, and Texas A&M all failed to break 200 yards.

Ole Miss and Kentucky both broke 400 yards.

LSU is...
#1 total offense
#1 total defense
#1 time of possession
#2 scoring O
#2 scoring D
#1 first downs
#2 first downs allowed
#2 3rd downs converted
#2 3rd down stops
#2 sacks
#8 turnover margin

There is no excuse for them to have 2 losses. The turnover margin has been the difference, statistically. In reality, injuries to three potential All-SEC players has done a lot.

The 4 wins are against Clemson (119th in total offense), La Tech (61st), McNeese State (FCS), and Texas A&M (113th). It's not LSU's fault, they just played who is on their schedule, but the defensive numbers are directly in correlation with the teams they played. Ole Miss (43rd) and Kentucky (55th) aren't exactly world beaters on offense.

Funnily enough, LSU only has two more games against teams above Kentucky and only one above Ole Miss - Alabama is 32nd and Tennessee is 54th. They miss 4 teams ranked above Alabama in total offense.

This is the best defense Lane has ever had and the first time his defense is better than his offense.

It's weird how it mirrors his offense though. Lay the wood to the bad teams and leak vs. good ones.

I generally gave Womack a pass these last two years because in most of Bama's losses it was the offense letting the team down.

This year was supposed to be a strength and...well look at the UGA game. I know, 20 points, but they did what they wanted and Bama was powerless to stop it.

This is why I'm not too keen on a rematch like everyone else. Unless UGA's entire starting OLine gets explosive diarrhea the night before the game I don't see how it will be any different.

Our pass defense is worse than all but Stanford and WV in power 4.

I thought two years ago Florida's Defense may of been playing better than OUs and UGAs defense . I was really impressed with how hard they played.
I will say defensive numbers get all out of whack with little to no offense., Your defense would be on the field much more.

Our defense has been bad the whole season so far. Our offense fell off a cliff the last 2 weeks but was producing good before that.

What is crazy is LSU is #1 in offense and defense in the SEC but has 2 losses…
