There are 3 ways to actually stop field storming, none of which are feasible in the real world:
1. Have 100,000 security officers, a 1:1 ratio with fans.
2. Have 1,000 security officers with AK-47s pointing into the stands.
3. Build a cage around the playing field, similar to a jail cell.
If 10s of thousands of euphoric and drunk people want to do something bad enough, they will. Period. Just have to give the players and coaches a path to the locker room.

good teams that expect to win have no need to celebrate regular season wins by rushing it seems....

No but if you up the penalty significantly and give it to the visiting team's NIL fund then that might make a dent in it.

Yeah you can, let it be known the game is forfeit if the fans rush the field.
Bama pussies begging for money and to be given wins in games they lose?

You could probably do this with about 50 security officers assigned specifically to the visiting team, and have them escort players and staff, but the SEC needs to do away with the fine if they expect to be taken seriously.

I'm sure this was an "isolated incident." And this coonass in LSU fishing gear is in no way representative of the rest of this trashy fanbase.
Get fricked gump. Yall are the prototypical trash fanbase. Bunch of inbred cousin fricking losers that have nothing other than college (that most of you losers never even went to) football. Yall kill people, sexually assault people, kill tress, you name it yall do it.

So, go to another public event with crowd control and rush the field or stage or front door and see how you are treated. Everyone loves it when some nut job runs on the field at an NFL game, because they know they are about to see a brutal take down and arse whipping. Go to the NRA show and try to storm the front entrance like happened this year in Houston., and you will get beaten down. And then while in the hospital you will hear how hundreds of additional police in full riot gear and mounted police showed up along with snipers being positioned on top of the convention center to make sure no one else tried it. Or rush the stage at a Dave Chappelle concert, and you will find that your joints move in the opposite direction they are supposed to. Storm the capital and you will find yourself locked in a dungeon for eternity. But please, continue about how it can’t be stopped and I am just a big meany.

Rioters trying to stop the NRA show, violent leftists assaulting comedians, insurrectionists siezing government buildings, and excited college football fans?
Those are really all the same thing to you?
So you want colleges to treat their fans like terrorists?
frick that, and frick you.

Ole Miss tried this in 2002 when we beat #6 Florida and it did not turn out well. Some local security company decided it was a good idea to use pepper spray.
Maybe they just need to adjust it to allow field storming but give the team and officials 5 minutes to evacuate the field first.

Bama fans can’t call anything trashy when your fans defended a Bama player hitting a woman

So what? Bama isn’t very good this season.
Beating up on 90 lb sorority gals because they were scared says it all. Sounds like Bama has some real tough dudes! Lol

tDecline is real and glorious. They don't know how to handle this and are lashing out and begging daddy REC to fine or force vacate teams that beat them. This probably isn't even peak Bama bitch mode. It could get better.

This will come off as negative but i can see where SEC could be worried about safety for rushing the field. With all the crushing events lately all it takes is a few people tripping and falling in the first few rows and people pushing forward from the back to cause major injuries to people in the front and people trapped in the middle. I love seeing excited fans rushing the field like saturday night but it is a little scary to watch people jumping the walls in the front rows.

I’m surprised they aren’t playing the “we wuz hurt” excuse on y’all. Georgia has been hearing that explanation since 5 minutes after the final whistle at the NC game. Saban couldn’t wait to start the excuse making. The confetti was still falling from the ceiling and he was standing in front of the locker room whining to the media about Bamas injuries. Bama doesn’t handle losing well at all.
Congrats to LSU! Good take down of an over privileged program

I mean, some of your fine fans Saturday night acted exactly like the douchebags that tried to rush the door at the NRA, or the ones that blocked interstates and broke windows during the summer of peace, or the Jan. 6th protesters that went into somewhere they weren’t allowed and tried to take “souvenirs”. If the shoe fits…

What are they gonna do - bring out the National Guard with live rounds in their weapons?…

That's a really stupid comparison. You are trying to compare a college football game that has already ended, to someone running on the field during an NFL game?

This wouldn't even be super expensive. Home team pays to have security escort to get the visiting team off the field. Done
