This is a needed thing. They must stop people from running on the field. Fans must be protected from assaults by Bama players after the game.

The best thing I've seen was people holding a rope on the field. This wasn't to stop fans from entering the field, but they "blocked off" the visiting teams sideline from the student section to corral them away from the opposing team and herd them towards the midfield logo
No way it would work for a large crowd though

I welcome it. It's trashy and becoming more prevalent and something bad's going to happen.

Increased fines, lose of scholarships, and losing eligibility to host other future events like regionals. If the schools really want to stop it from happening, they can, And I have a feeling the SEC is about to make all member institutions really, really want it not to happen.
I bet you if LSU knew they were going to be fined $1 million dollars for the second game in a row, and lose 10 football scholarships, they would have had more security; and that security would not have had such a cavalier attitude. No, you would have had a line of cops in riot gear with pepper spray and billly clubs turning the first fans onto the field into wet spots, and the rest would have rethought things.

So, you make them not want to. You don’t have to stop 10,000. You have to stop the first 100 and make an example of them. And let the remaining 9,900 know they too might have to be fed through a tube if they continue on their path.. And then those people will suddenly lose the urge to go onto the field.
