Guessing they have public record documents indicating that LSU did coax the players into suing. That's dumber than Pete texting Ferelli from his work phone.

I agree, it's extremely dumb if so.

If they don't have proof, then LSU and Lane are about to take this conference to the cleaners.

Hahaha lane and LSU already broke the Sec and he hasn’t coached a single game here.

Only an LSU fan could believe this.

So how are they going to sue us for this, if after this hearing they give us the green light to play these players? B/c Lane is not doing it unless they give the green light. Can't sue us for something that didn't happen yet....and there is plenty of proof from players they were recruited by others and not just LSU. Dumb road to go down my friends.

I think the SEC, which is valued at 17 billion dollars, knows what they are doing

I'm interested to see how this works.

The players sued the NCAA, not the SEC originally.

They could have coaxed them into suing both. The SEC lawsuit was filed quickly so there may have been a plan in place.

I retract that statement, if there's proof.

This could be more posturing.

The lawsuit revolves around LSU coaxing the players to sue in the first place, not results of TROs or eligibility questions.

or feeding Dabo Swinney intel, egging him on to publicly attack Ole Miss over tampering... Like it wouldn't get out....

You should maybe read it again. It doesn't matter if they play or not.

This is the charge:

Defendants waged a deliberate and coordinated campaign to recruit professional athletes to play football for LSU during the 2026-27 season

And LSU is clearly guilty.

LSU fans can say whatever they want, but you've got to admit this start to Lane's time in Baton Rouge has been far less than ideal.

Its not worth pissing in the conference punch bowl over players who aren't moving the needle for you much at all.

Allowing a conference institution to break a league-wide policy without any penalties could be detrimental to a future self-governance model.

This is it in a nutshell. It's not about paying ineligible players, its about the SEC fencing around the boundaries of a standalone league.

Clearly?

What evidence do you have?

Surely they are also suing Ole Miss and South Carolina since Wright said they actively tried to recruit him back as well, right?
