Lots of rumors about the league's schedules getting significant changes, moving dates around more so than any drastic changes in opponents. The AD;s are looking at ways to improve attendance and this is one perceived change to help. Don't see it helping but it is on the table.

They have to figure out a way to rotate opponents. You cannot tell me Alabama would rather solely play Tennessee rather than getting the option to rotate with Florida and Georgia.

We are gonna play UT. They are our natural rival. Then we'll deal with the Dawgs or the Gators (sometimes both) in the SEC champ or the playoffs. We've played one or the other and sometimes both 6 times in the last 5 years. We'll play UGA once this year and at least once and likely twice in 2020.

They’ve said it themselves. Built by Bama to back down from UF and UGA. They do love their OOCs with Duke and Wake Forest.

Alabama does not solely play Tennessee and Alabama tried to implement a nine game SEC schedule and it got voted down, including by your AD.
