Auburn says he's a great man to work with, so amiable and courteous.
yep, a real man of the people. Whatever he can do to help out our rivals with zero perceivable benefit to us is what we'll do dammit. He aims to please.

I heard mcgarity is going ot ask all our opponents their preferred date to play us based on their schedulesl and mandate all our opponents have a bye before us as well.
I heard they are all going to schedule for the first Saturday, all 8 games, all on the same date. McGarity agreed, that way UGA can rest up for the OOC...

So what are the negatives for moving the game?

you must have misheard. That was originally the plan, but it was later decided all games would be on the road so the logistics wouldn't work out.

They’ve said it themselves. Built by Bama to back down from UF and UGA.
We have long winning streaks over both. Just like we do against LSU.

For starters, I said "no perceivable benefit". There is not really any real reason for us to want or need to move it, but there is a massive benefit for AU to move it because it helps their schedule tremendously. If we approached UF or AU and asked them to do somethign that helped us a ton but didn't help them at all, do you think they would have even kept that phone call going? Nope.
Really my biggest complaint though is that it is spitting in the face of history which pisses me off. With the only exceptions being the 1800s when the game was in February, and 2 years ago when it was for hte SECCG in december, this game has always been in November or very late October. That's simply when it is meant to be played. Now it'll be late september or early October which is retarded. And as for a negative, I think MOST would agree that AU is a more difficult opponetn year in year out than UT, and so now it's very possible that in 2020 we will have @bama and AU back to back, which sucks.

Alabama does not solely play Tennessee and Alabama tried to implement a nine game SEC schedule and it got voted down, including by your AD.
Yeah, that was the old AD. Who gives a shite about what he voted?

It is not just about Auburn, but avoiding late season rematches in the SEC Championship game. Division games should be played in November to avoid playing the same team so closely to the championship game.
The rule will ensure cross division games in September and October.

I tend to agree with this. TAMU plays USCe that weekend. Just swap the games around
