The Chimes is not all that in BR, Go to Couyon's if you're ever here.

They nailed Lexington. Merrick Inn is well worth the money. A lot of old money there, dress accordingly. Their prime rib is outstanding. Excellent patio area as well for post meal bourbon or cognac and cigars. We always go during the Keeneland spring and fall meets.

The Hound is great, but if I’m listing the “best” restaurant in Auburn, it is Acre.

Moe’s Original BBQ (Starkville, MS)

A chain BBQ restaurant with like 50+ locations that started out of Alabama is the best food Starkville has to offer?

Rama Jama?

List really is shite.

Nicks in the sticks or The Waysider depending on whether it’s breakfast you want or not

Chimes is pretty good and not a chain really. Isn’t couyons a chain Barbeque joint?

If you find yourself without an LSU tailgate to attend, I highly recommend the Chimes. With a location just .8 miles from Tiger Stadium, you can enjoy wonderful southern-style dining and a massive selection of beers before making your way into Death Valley.

This is legit. About 8 or so years ago for a shite game that was scheduled to be a downpour we decided not to set up tailgate and just camped out at the chimes all day. It was awesome.

I mean, these things are always subjective.

That being said, terrible choice on their part, IMO.

Yeah there are way, way better places in Tuscaloosa. I guess it's iconic as far as being across the street from BDS but I'd hate for someone to read this article and think Rama Jama's is our best restaurant

I'm not sure what specific kind of restaurant the article was looking for, but I'm ok with this I suppose.

They didn't use the photo correctly, but they're probably referring to the location in the old 1929 airplane hanger down the road from the stadium. Neat space.

I've been pretty pleased with the chimes the few times I have gone, I'll have to give that other place a shot

Rama Jama is the only non fast food restaurant in that city if I’m not mistaken (possibly 1 other BBQ place)

Shut up fool we got a Longhorn Steakhouse now

But seriously, there are a lot of places. Chuck's Fish is probably the best in town.

I like Hugo’s, but Herman’s and Grubs are just as good or better. Penguin Ed’s. Just a burger joint doesn’t seem like it should be tops on the list.

Meh, kind of a lazy list. Moe's is a chain/franchise restaurant and so is 5 Bar.

And Rama Jama's isn't even close to the best spot in Tuscaloosa.

I would say the Hound is good, Acre is very good (and the best that is walkable from campus), but I think the best of them all is Bow & Arrow (same chef/owner as Acre).
