I think we'd all be absolutely fine with this. Now, make it happen. It isn't OUR job any more than it's yours.

And there you have it. People that shop in Bama, go to church in Bama, pay taxes in Bama and raise their children in Bama make the decisions. Why you cnat see the appearence of impropriety is mind boggling. Its easily avoidable.

Agree 100%. Why do you think your AD, Chancellor and Head Coach allow this to continue? Where do you think the SEC HQ should be moved to?

Its already the rule. You cannot ref a game if you went to that school or have a child at that school. These dumbasses just dont know it

lol. John Q messageboardposter isnt' gonna do shite to totally rearrange the established methods in the league office. It's been this way for years and there is litereally nothing that can be done about it.

Atlanta makes the most sense. Most corporations operating in the SE have the corporate HQ there.
It’s probably the most diverse city in the southeast with people from pretty much everywhere moving there to work. You can’t say that about Birmingham.

Why dont you just link it? Who the hell is Thomas Gerard Hennessy?
Here's the guy he's talking about:
Photo Page
The guy's kid attended a baseball camp at Alabama. Maybe - might be a friend's kid. There are two pictures of him playing darts with someone wearing an Alabama shirt, and in one you can clearly see the baseball camp number on his back. Only photos are from the baseball camp.
No posts about Alabama football or Alabama much at all. Really just a slew of pro-Trump posts on his feed.
No pic at all of him wearing Alabama gear.

How far down the rabbit hole do you go though?
Finding people in the South East with absolutely no affiliation with a school or rival school, or family with no affiliation with a school or rival school?
I mean, by your logic, rival fans should never be involved in officiating games either. Or families of rival fans.
I'm not saying don't do it - but at the same time, what is the cutoff? Shipping in refs from the Pacific Northwest every Saturday?

I dont think fans, alumni, or people with first generation family boosters of a school should be able to influence outcome of games. Its not that hard and its Steve Shaw Bama grad's job right now!!!

Bama got no calls and didn't complain just dropped 600 yards on them and shut them out.
Can’t wait for Burrow to drop 600 and 50 in Tuscaloosa

First off I’m not blaming or implying anyone or any team, I am just simply stating the obvious. As I said in my other post you would think the SEC would already be on top of this.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was sure message board users were the answer.

Hagan’s brother is Rod Gaddy and happy a full fledged Alabama fan.
Google Rod Gaddy Birmingham and look at the images.

Going back to the people complaining, Ryan Hagan didn't graduate from Alabama. Neither did his wife, nor did Thomas G Hennessy. As for being fans of Alabama, nothing actually confirms Ryan Hagan or his wife being Alabama fans. Just a long chain about a guy.
Seriously, there is so much made-up shite it took a while to sift through it:
* Fans photoshopped pictures
* Fans lied about the ref being "fired" in 2002 (He had a 1 game suspension due to calls not related to him but his crew at the time)
* Fans harassed his brother-in-law on that picture
* Fans claimed the ref had a nephew who plays baseball for Alabama (the kid doesn't - he plays for Clemson) - He only attended a camp at Alabama. He has been at Clemson since 2017.
See? People in THIS THREAD are lying about shite from two years ago because it confirms their bias. They don't give a shite about facts, just justification for their anger.
In that same game, Alabama had the following penalties:
1. (9:58 - 1st) ALABAMA Penalty, False Start (Irv Smith Jr.) to the Geo 22 - Leads to a missed FG (FG attempt pushed from 35 to 40)
2. 3rd & 3 at UGA 40
(3:49 - 1st) ALABAMA Penalty, Neutral Zone Infraction (5 Yards) to the Geo 45 for a 1ST down - Georgia drive remains alive, leads to FG
3. 4th & 6 at UGA 28
(2:14 - 2nd) Cameron Nizialek punt for 39 yds , Trevon Diggs returns for 2 yds to the Alab 35 ALABAMA Penalty, Offensive Holding (Derek Kief) to the Alab 25 - No significant impact
4. 2nd & Goal at ALA 2
(0:12 - 2nd) ALABAMA Penalty, Roughing Passer (Deionte Thompson) to the Alab 1 for a 1ST down - Play was an incomplete pass. Leads to UGA TD
5. (5:15 - 3rd) JK Scott kickoff for 65 yds for a touchback for a 1ST down ALABAMA Penalty, Unsportsmanlike Conduct (-15 Yards) for a 1ST down - UGA starts at 40 yard line. Fails to score.
You could argue that UGA was just as fortuitous as Alabama with some of these calls. If the argument that the refs were "bad" then okay, but when you cry "bias" then you need to have actual proof. Not a connection to a nephew playing baseball at Clemson.
Steve Shaw doesn't officiate any games. Are you saying that the SEC shouldn't have any of its corporate staff graduating from any SEC school?
