No. He was trying to control it. By the time he did, his elbow was touching the ground OOB.

You inadvertently answered your own question. You said you're torn, as to whether it was a catch, or not
The call on the field was a catch/TD. The refs may have been torn as well, but like you, there's not irrefutable evidence to overtime the call made on the field.
As a result, by the rules, it remains as called on the field.....a catch/TD.

Most Arkansas fans are't like that! They think they are bigger than some of the others! Like Mizzou for example!

Gene Sterratore did a good job of explaining it at length during the broadcast.

catch for bama with SEC refs. The ball movement is problematic but his elbow hits out of bounds at same time or before he established foot in bounds. No catch

Of course it does to you Bama fans, but shite like this makes everyone realize how you claim all the titles that you never won, too.

Hold on, the safety from Mertz pee wee city league weighs in...again and again.

It's a catch by replay and by rule. The call on the field is confirmed.

Watch the game it was an offensive pass interference clinic put on by Arky receivers the longer the game went on the more they pushed off, and no call.

Now I don't blame them if I am out there and they won't call it I'd push off too, but it got to a point where you could see Saban himself complaining about it, to no avail.

Not at all. I was shocked they were making such a strong argument the otherway.

It's a catch.

His body is touching the ground in the end zone the entire time, so all he needs to do is get control before he touches out of bounds.

And he does that by getting his hand around the nose of the football.

I imagine you are looking at him getting control, and then that part landing out of bounds? But as I said above, his entire body is touching before then.

His entire body was on the ground in bounds, it doesn't matter where his elbow hit after gaining control.

I think it shows most people don't understand the rules.

It was a great catch. I don't know why people think where his elbow landed matters when the entire body is on the ground in the end zone.
