Ahh the old the defense. That’s really funny coming from a Texas A&M fan. Let’s look at the defenses you played Only one team worth a shite Alabama. Again you play the teams you play. Because he’s a UGA QB you think he will fail?

IMHO, he is a top 2 QB

I love Mac, but he could walk on water and not be drafted before Lawrence and Fields.

Corral is easily best returning QB in SEC, and he could make a case for the nation. He didnt even have a spring with Kiffin to work either, I'm really excited to see what his ceiling is with the full off season prep working with the next crop of WRs.

Do we know for sure that Mac's leaving?

His stock can't get any higher. And with us losing so many players on the OL, it probably only has the potential to go down.

The only QB on the 2021 roster who could possibly replicate what Trask is doing is Jon Kitna's kid who just signed yesterday

why are we going after pro-style QBs?

Probably looking at something like...

1. Matt Corral
2. JT Daniels
3. Connor Bazelak
4. Myles Brennan
5. Bo Nix
6. Ken Seals
7. Will Rogers

A bunch of unknowns or average QBs. Obviously you can probably go ahead and plug Bryce Young in there at like #2, and the A&M/UF QBs probably top 5 or 6. I just hate ever trying to rank guys that have really never played.

Also, I am biased, but I'd probably put Myles in the top 2 or 3. Tried to combat myself in my rankings above.

Y'all had no problem saying that there wouldn't be much of a dropoff from Burrow to Brennan.

You don’t have Bamas QB or Texas A&M QB at the top.

Well, "y'all" is not me... Nobody ever said that unless they were joking, given that Burrow is the best QB in CFB history.... Also, Brennan was awesome in the 3 games he played behind one of the worst O-Lines in SEC.

Most likely KJ Jefferson but Malik Hornsby might push him a bit in the spring.

Before the Missouri game I was leaning toward taking a grad transfer QB but KJ looked pretty solid. Got other holes to fill anyway.

Young has to show more than we've seen to put him high on any list

Open comp for us

Harrison Bailey: touted freshman that's finally getting some run this year. Not sure about his arm strength though

JT Shrout: all the arm talent in the world, but has shown a penchant for making the boneheaded mistake at the wrong time too many times

Brian Maurer: not sure he's on the team next year, bails on the pocket too quick and is a probably 1 more concussion away from hanging it up

Kaidon Salter: incoming freshman, dual threat, with a strong arm. I'm hoping he's the one and lives up to the hype and can get up to speed quick.

Who do you guys have after Young? He will be a good one but who is your back up?

Paul Tyson will probably go into the spring as #2 but I expect Saban may also bring in a transfer. Never been a better time to do it.

Alabama also signed the #4 rated dual threat qb, Jalen Milroe. A dual threat qb from Texas named Jalen. Sounds good to me.

Jalen Milroe

Sorry if it hurts your feelings. I don't think he's going to be bad. I just think he's had a run of favorable matchups that inflate his #s.

Again unless you give me a real reason? Don’t give me the the teams he played? Again I could argue Texas A&M schedule is inflated. :eyeroll:

Stock can't get any higher? Sure it can! A repeat or even better year at the QB position could raise Mac to the top pick in next year's draft. Also, Bama's 2nd team off line will be as good or better than this year's line giving a full spring and fall off season sessions. Finally, the running game appears to be in great hands with all the young freshmen and RS freshmen coming into their own.. D. Sanders I don't know about his future barring the seriousness of his injuries suffered in the automobile accident.
