56 Super Bowls
112 teams

11 QBs

11/112 x 100 = 9.16%

Is there another conference that can do better than 9 percent?

Bob Griese + Tom Brady + Len Dawson + Drew Brees gets the Big Ten up to 16 appearances. Are there any more I’m forgetting?

I think it’s the 3rd time

P. Manning vs Grossman

He didn’t start but Norris Weese (Ole Miss) came in for Denver against Dallas due to injury and had significant playing time.

Let’s not forget that the Bengals #2 QB is none other than our very own Brandon Allen.

I guess with the near infinite protection afforded to QBs on the field these days, it was inevitable that the crop of back-up would decline in quality.

Now days, if you’re a back-up who’s lucky enough to get some playing time, all you’re doing is handing the ball off in some garbage game after the team has secured their playoff seed.

Honestly, it didn’t occur to me that Collins was in a Super Bowl. I almost thought you made a mistake until I looked it up/

Between Tom Brady’s 10 appearances all on his own and people like Collins and Eason showing up in the game, I think the Big Ten’s record is suspect.

But David Woodley and Rex Grossman count

Purdue alone has 6 appearances and 4 wins
