Already selectively adding new qualifiers
Classic Irony King, I wonder if you even understand what these phrases mean  it’s not a selection qualifier because I never said the SEC never good at MBB at any point in history.
This however is selective qualifier

06 to 2014
2006 had 2 SEC teams in the Final Four and the Champions 2000-2005 which you left out had only 1 FF, 1 runner up and 0 titles.
But again no one is arguing the SEC has never been strong in MBB but it did fall off. Thats undeniable. The commissioner hired a consultant because it had fallen off, even with Kentucky winning a title and making multiple FFs been 2008-2016 when Trangesse was hired and I’d argue it worked even if the solution was obvious and Jimmy Ott said the same

1990s
:you know that was a long time ago right? We were talking about this century

How did that happen?
Well Arkansas joined the conference in 1992 and they were loaded under Nolan Richardson for a while. Pitino had Kentucky rolling peaking with an all time great team in 96 he went back to the NBA a year later but left a team so loaded Tubby Smith won a title. This was before the transfer portal btw.
Not sure what massive point you think you are making, no one ever said at no point in history was the SEC goos in MBB but it did fall off for a bit, Sankey hired Mike Tragresse (former Big East commissioner) to consult about improving MBB ffs  his basic advise was put more resources into *please note that was not about spending on players, but on the overall programs. The biggest piece of that is of course coaches but also into facilities and the overall program. The player budgets is new and a separate issue. I would argue LSU hiring Wade the first time was part of part of the overall conference putting more emphasis and resources into MBB and it’s clearly been better since then.

What has improved the SEC is not better funding. It's what ALWAYS improves programs. Better coaching.
These 2 are related:lol: Trent Johnson won the SEC his first year and we were an 8 seed, only 3 SEC teams made the tournament. Sometime after that most is not all SEC teams began committing more resources to MBB. Hiring better coaches is the first and most important part but more commitment is definitely a big part.

Again being dishonest and that proof can go back to the first couple of exchanges where you went back and forth on your takes, created straw men, moved goal posts and ran away from topics

I have not done a single one of the things you have accused me of. You’re the one that’s gone off topic and argued against points I never made
It’s amazing, you can stay away from this board for months and come back and find a thread where this guy is hurling the same insults about “lying, moving goal posts, making straw men” when in reality he’s the one doing what he accuses others of doing. I guess he operates that if you got a brand stick with it :dunno:

I just want to make the tourney and not be a punchline. Wade will do that.
That’s easy to say when we haven’t even been to the tournament in 4 years and have only won 4 NCAAT games since the 2006 FF. We’ve actually only been to the tournament 9 times since Browns last tourney team. Everyone was ecstatic to make a bowl in 1995 when we went to the Independence Bowl. But eventually “just making the tourney” will not be satisfying especially with the salary contingent on NIL commitments

If it was mid season, like the homely girl she got Jon Lovitz to bring for the try outs, thst got married that would be one thing, but it was literally at the start of the final series. And her husband showed up there, so she didn’t have to leave to be with him in the hospital or something. The fact they turned around so she could play shows it isn’t just “current” standards

And that’s why this movie sucks. Dottie Hinson should be one of the most reviled “protagonists” in movie history. She quits just before the finals only to come back and tank the championship just to give her sister a false sense of accomplishment, what a selfish bitch.

Annie Hall beat out Star Wars in 1978 and five decades later no one under 40 has ever heard of the movie.
Then they are missing out. People who love film at least know the movie.

Woody Allen beat out both Spielberg and George Lucas
I think you are using 20/20 hindsight. He was a well respected filmmaker, especially at the time. Frankly his body of work as a director is much better than Lucas as a director, who only directed 2 good movies. Obviously Spielberg got his due but Close Encounters was not better than Annie Hall. I know people don’t like Allen because of the allegations against him, nevermind that he was never charged and no evidence was ever found of child abuse, and he married his ex long time girlfriend’s adoptive daughter who is 35 years younger however they are still married so that’s not really anyone’s business.

count, illegals have raped and/or murdered 37+ young American girls.
Not to belittle these horrific crimes but far more rapes/murders are committed by native born Americans. 37 terrible crimes does not justify the amount of resources being used to deport literally millions that have nothing to do with those crimes it’s just a pretext.

I understand he will probably get in and “2 rings” will be the biggest factor but I will always disagree that he deserves it.
