It is not a requirement to like LSU just because you live in Louisiana. Also times change. In the 1970s college sports were not nearly as popular and while LSU was always the most popular team in NOLA it was by plurality not majority. I’d dare say in Uptown more people either did not care about LSU or did not like them. And the only reason you care where his kids did or didn’t go to school is because they were good at football. No one cared where Cooper went.
