SEC Power Rankings

Playoff Contenders
1. Alabama - Until someone beats the king, the king stays here.
2. Ole Miss - Seems to be scary on both sides of the ball. Before you say "opponents," See Arkansas, Auburn. Ole Miss is good.
3. LSU - Leonard Fournette is the best player in the SEC. Brandon Harris managed the game well. Will be in a three way battle for the West.
Teams Good Enough to Play Spoiler
4. Georgia - Lots of talent, but I don't see them doing much other than competing with Tennessee and Florida for the East.
5. Texas A&M - Same old A&M. Going to score points, but can't play defense. Arizona State struggling with Cal Poly makes me hesitant to put them this high.
Bowl Teams That You Can't Take Lightly
6. Florida - Gators look much improved, but aren't back.
7. State - Dak Prescott is good enough to keep them in most games. Must improve on offensive line play.
8. Tennessee - Good showing against Oklahoma. Team just has to learn how to win.
9. Kentucky - Cats are going to bowl this year, and may be a year away from competing in the East.
Teams that Don't Look as Good as Predicted, But Can Claw to a Bowl
10. Missouri - Shittiest team in the Top 25. Will lose at least five SEC games. That close win against Arkansas State might keep them bowl eligible.
11. Auburn - JJ is the worst QB in the SEC by a long shot. All the talent in the world on the rest of the field cannot change that. Starting to think Cam Newton actually did create the aura that Malzahn is a good coach.
12. South Carolina - Spurrier's done. Its over.
13. Arkansas - Why did people buy the hype? Toledo pushed them around. Every team in the SEC is going to destroy their line. LSU and Alabama may kill someone.
Vanderbilt
14. Vanderbilt - Mason just may not be the guy. Helmets looked good though.

Alabama, Ole Miss, A&M, LSU, and UGA are all on the same level right now.

Well said and I agree on most counts. But this was a tremendous exercise in understatement. Also, I'd still say Chubb is the best player in the SEC.
