I finished another read of Suttree and I’m once again convinced that Harrogate is one of the best characters I’ve ever read about. Honestly, the whole book could have been about him and it would have been just as great. I always wanted more of him. ...

I’ll be watching shows and movies and then there will be a scene with a large crowd or a sports arena filled and it irrationally bothers me. It reminds me of how life should be and what they took from us. It just boggles me how we are stilling living like this and afraid of basic human interaction. ...
