Offensive Player of the Week
SPENCER RATTLER SOUTH CAROLINA
QB • RS-So. Phoenix, Ariz.
Rattler completed 25-of-27 passes (92.6 pct.) for 345 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for a fourth TD in the Gamecocks' 47-21 win over Furman, the sixth-ranked team in the FCS.
Rattler completed his first 15 passes in the contest with TD passes of 36, 7 and 42 yards.
He was his best at the end of the first half when he led Carolina on a 3-play, 75-yard scoring drive in 20 seconds with no timeouts, leaving just 3 seconds on the clock.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
JETT JOHNSON MISSISSIPPI STATE
LB • Gr. Tupelo, Miss.
Led the team in tackles with 11. It was his eighth career came with 10 or more tackles.
The 11 tackles are a season-best.
He had a season-best one sack in the win over Arizona. It increased his season total to two, a team-best. His two sacks this season tie his single-season career best, which was set last season.
He tallied two interceptions in the game, the first multi-interception game of his career. He is tied for the SEC lead for most interceptions this season.
The interceptions were the first since Nov. 24, 2021. That interception came against Ole Miss.
He is the first Bulldog with two interceptions in a game since Emmanuel Forbes had two against Texas A&M in 2022.
He had a season-best two tackles for a loss in the win over Arizona.
Ranks 12th in the SEC in total tackles (17), but his 10 solo tackles to date are tied for 8th most.
Tied for 5th in the SEC in total sacks and 7th in tackles for loss.
Tied for the SEC lead in Interceptions (2) and forced fumbles (2).
Season-high PFF Defense Grade of 82.3.

EUGENE ASANTE AUBURN
LB • Jr. Alexandria, Va.
Led Auburn in tackles for the second straight week, tallying a career-best 12 in the win at Cal, including nine solo stops.
Making his first career start, he also registered a TFL (1.5) and sack (1.0) for the second straight week and added two QB pressures and a pass breakup.
Came up with an 11-yard sack on third and 10 in the fourth quarter to push Cal to the brink of field goal range; the Bears then missed the attempt before Auburn drove down for the go-ahead score
Nine of his 12 tackles came in the second half, when Auburn held Cal scoreless.
The 10 points allowed in the game were tied for the fewest the Tigers have allowed against a Power 5 opponent since defeating Arkansas 34-3 on Sept. 22, 2018.
Special Teams Player of the Week
CADEN DAVIS OLE MISS
PK • Sr. Coppell, Texas
Was perfect on the day including a pair of huge fourth-quarter field goals to seal Ole Miss' comeback road win at Tulane.
Drilled a career-long 56-yard field goal with 1:53 remaining to help ice the game for the Rebels. It marked the fourth-longest FG in Ole Miss history and the longest by a Rebel since 1988.
Finished 3-of-3 on field goals and 4-for-4 on PATs.

ELI COX KENTUCKY
C/OG • Sr. Nicholasville, Ky.
Played every snap and graded at 86 percent in UK's 28-17 win over Eastern Kentucky.
Recorded five knockdown blocks.
Allowed no quarterback sacks or pressures and had no penalties.
Started at right guard and also played center with all good snaps.

NYLES GADDY MISSOURI
DL • Sr. Nashville, Tenn.
Finished with three tackles, 2.0 for a loss along with a pair of sacks for a 15-yard loss in the Tigers' win over MTSU.
It is the second multi-sack performance of his career and first in a Missouri uniform.

DL • RS-Sr. Columbia, S.C.
Carded three tackles with 2.0 tackles for loss (-11), including 1.5 sacks for a loss of nine yards, in win against Kent State.
Recorded a career high 1.5 sacks in the victory.
Combined with Jaheim Thomas for a sack for a loss of seven yards on third down, forcing a Kent State field goal in the first quarter.
Registered a sack for a loss of five yards on third down to force a Kent State punt in first quarter.
Was instrumental in a goal line stand in the fourth quarter by combining with Landon Jackson for a tackle for a loss of four yards on fourth and goal.
Helped the Hogs control the line of scrimmage against the Golden Flashes, allowing just 26 total rushing yards on the day - the fewest by a Razorback opponent since against New Mexico State (11) in 2017.

Led all players with 109 receiving yards on four receptions at Wake Forest.
Posted first 100-yard game of his career.
Career-long 48-yard catch set up TD that pulled Commodores within 17-14 late in the second quarter.
Also scored Vandy's final points with fourth-quarter 30-yard TD reception.
Effort helped him end weekend first in the SEC and fourth nationally among freshman in total receiving yards posted thus far this season.

Feels fair. Spencer catches some heat on here, but this year he is doing really well. Yeah he didnt throw a TD in a week one, but despite 9 sacks he was 30 of 39.
For the year he is 55-63 for 698 yards with 3 TD's and 0 INT's. You can't ask a guy to more than that, especially when they know he is going to pass and a 3 man rush still gets to him.

Do they always do co-defensive player of the week?
Not to knock a nice performance, but Asante's game doesn't hold a candle to what Jett did this week.

Asante and Fairweather were the only real bright spots we had on Saturday night and the only reason we won. Asante was a one-man wrecking crew. He reminded me of Renne Curran for Georgia a few years back. Just wrecking shite sideline to sideline.

Did you watch the Au game? Asante WAS the AU defense. Was like watching Takeo Spikes back in the day. Even on plays that he didn't record a stat, he still influenced the play.

Watched the entire Auburn game, was a fun one, love late night SEC play.
