Not really if you look at the road/home splits for the conference.

Teams played very well in their home environments and not so much away from that.

Did any SEC team make the sweet 16?

Arkansas did

Only reason Arky did was they got lucky and drew 2 double digit seeds. Barely squeaked by both.

Can't tell if serious or sarcastic, but five SEC teams lost to "double digit seeds" seeded 10, 11, 14, and two seeded 15.

Yeah, and Arkansas barely beat two of them while the SEC lost to the rest.

It is salient with the SEC’s performance as a whole.

A little surprised but damn UK and Auburn both fell apart in their losses.

Auburn literally fell apart down the stretch last night

Not really, from the way they all played this year it seems about right.

Actually it is surprising. The SEC won the Big 12 challenge besting both Kansas and Baylor who were both 1 seeds. Bama also beat Gonzaga another 1 seed. The SEC had a good ooc resume’ overall.

LSU losing with their coach getting fired wasn’t s surprise, but Ky., Auburn, Tenn and Bama losing were surprises. The SEC brand took a big hit this weekend.

The Big Ten got only 2 in the sweet sixteen. Losses by UK and Auburn and Alabama really hurt.

Same shite muss did last year.

Arkansas hasn't beaten a team seeded 9 or better in the tournament since he's been there. The draws they get are absurd.

ETA: have beaten one 6 seed

Not really.

This is what happens when you fix games for certain teams all year and make sure the home court advantage is in place for your top teams.

I think its hilarious. The SEC is getting what it deserves.

So we finished in a tie for 5th (somewhere between 5th and 8th) in a below average conference? Hmm.

It’s pretty obvious that much of the analytics that benefited the shine placed on the SEC as such a tough basketball conference led to being overrated.

I agree. It is a different story when you are not dealing with referees who are corrupt.

It’s pretty embarrassing. Really thought Kentucky, AU, Tenn, LSU and Bama would have better showings.

The only thing that didn’t go to script was Kentucky. Bama had played like shite for two months, Auburn were frauds, LSU didn’t have a coach, and Tennessee pulled a Tennessee. Kentucky was fraudulent too but I can’t say I thought they’d get knocked out in the first weekend, much less the first game against a 15 seed.
