Athletic article is also suggestin trading Giannis. From the article:

"They have no good young players and no draft assets, and their annual wrestling match with the collective bargaining agreement’s second-apron threshold results in more losses at the margins every year. The Bucks’ two best players after Antetokounmpo are free agents (Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis). Of the two highest-paid players under contract after Antetokounmpo, one may miss all of next season and be 36 when he returns for 2026-27 (Lillard) and the other isn’t any good (Kyle Kuzma)."

Also more relevant, comparing situation to Nets trading back for their draft picks so they can actually tank:

"Milwaukee could pursue a similar plan only by trading with the New Orleans Pelicans to get back their 2026 pick swap and the top-four portion of its 2027 unprotected first. However, the “fifth through 30th” piece has already been sent to Atlanta. Still, such a move would give the Bucks two bites at the apple on high picks while they waited for their cap situation to clean out. But again, there is only one team they can execute this trade with, and players aren’t exactly jonesing to get to New Orleans. It would almost have to be a sidebar to a primary trade that sent Giannis someplace else; imagine a deal, for instance, where the Bucks get draft picks for Giannis and trade some of them to the Pelicans to regain access to their own picks."

The rest gets into potential Giannis trades but not how that could fit into a Pels trade.
A full newly purchased brass pass may be worth it to me to support WWOZ and get a small tax write off, but that doesn't matter for resale tickets like you're looking at.

It's not worth it for me because (1) I'm local, (2) I wouldn't use in and out, and (3) I don't see enough value in the lounge for difference in price. I'd personally put savings toward food/drink.

If not a Louisiana resident and thus paying full price daily, then yes I'd pay $600 for brass pass.

He's 100% an entertainer and there to give sound clips. ESPN will cherry pick the best ones, like it did with compilation of comments about Rodgers sliding.

And YouTube has plenty of great clips of the worst takes. Again, it's all for our entertainment.
Ownership likely said something like "we're not going anywhere in standings so we'll evaluate in the off-season." It's ambiguous enough to think one could hang on to a job.

Griff would likely also want another job so even if he knew he'd be fired I think torpedoing the Pels with bad moves would not engender trust from potential future employees.
I don't listen to Beyonce but also don't see a "gotcha" selling 94% of tickets. Capitalists might even say that easily selling out is a sign that ticket prices were not high enough.

Yes, my father in law. My wife and MIL made the difficult decision to end life support and were already very sad and could not stay in the room. I think it helped everyone that they did not have to witness and FIL had someone there he knew.

I don't think she can really lose money with NBA revenue sharing.

I am starting to think that low attendance/support and lower revenue (without a loss) could be weaponized as a negotiating tactic for a renovated or new stadium deal. It's how every Benson family negotiation had ever gone "woe us a low revenue team behind a better deal to stay in New Orleans."
I've come around to idea of letting the new GM decide about Willie. While I don't think the plan should be to tank the season, if they do decide to tank for one more year then it makes some sense to not pay another coach when Willie's already under contract and the savings can be rolled to a new coach in 2026. That said, I'd rather start with a new coach and not tank.
I'll laugh so hard if we pull off trading rights to Willie for like a 2032 2nd round pick.
Part of Shams followup tweet of DG "building a strong roster but" is a great epithet. I think DG would do well as a GM with a POBO over him but here that'd be a demotion and likely wasn't in the cards.
The Pels were fighting for a playoff spot last season and Dyson looked lost out there. While Willie could have utilized him more situationally as a defensive specialist, I don't think benching him was a mistake.

What are you talking about? He had a nearly 3:1 Assist:Turnover ratio with the Pels and his career numbers are just a little under that.

Yes, he's had many assists with a remarkable 13.9 per 36 minutes, well above anyone on the team but...

He's still been a turnover machine with 5.1 turnovers per 36 minutes, and that's awful. Jose's at 2.2. People thought Dejounte had many turnovers and he and Zion were 3.8.

Both individual rates are out of line with career rates, but if we look at assist rate to turnover rate he's at 2.7 this year compared to career 2.6

The conclusion is that Elfrid is the same guy he's been good entire journeyman career but that on the Pels obliterated roster he's had to handle the ball more so he's had more opportunities to do good and bad.

Jose's career assist rate to turnover rate is 3, and he's a better shooter, and I believe he's 5 years younger. Both Jose and Elfrid have roles in the league and both are competent to come off the bench, but I prefer Jose's production, age, and intangibles.

Best is to try preventing it. Some mentioned powders but others do better with balm. Done best here with Squirrel's Nut Butter.

Elfrid's a turnover machine and can't shoot, but props to him for playing okay within his limitations. If he can be the 5th option on the court that's okay considering defense and vision. I'll take Jose all day.
I don't know what to make of Sanders but I trust Kellen Moore exactly because he put up big numbers himself and best understands why he didn't work in the NFL to know what traits he was missing and find a QB with such traits.
No need for haircuts is freed money to pay for semaglutides.
If Pels were at all in the playoff picture then I think he'd play and then fly out.

Makes sense…wonder if it’s improper to tell them when that happens that somebody sold them these tix right before game?

I wouldnt do this. They'll probably know your name from contact giving tickets, and then they'd likely lead with name so that could be awkward. And if going route saying tickets were sold that's a quick way to have a note made and never be allowed any future favors.

My suggestion is to be nice and let the rep do their job talking, and don't buy if not wanting to buy. I like the timeshare analogy but in those situations with a greatly discounted vacation there's still an understanding that I'm going to spend some time with the salesman firmly saying no. If it's uncomfortable talking to a Pels rep then I'd just avoid the situation and buy tickets on seatgeek, etc.

I feel bad for them but the situations are different. Ad's passive aggressiveness wore on Pels fans and we at least felt some hope after the trade. Mavs fans do not have hope.

We were able to go on the court after the game. I believe the intention was for it to be for people who bought through the link but others were able to join. This worked for us using season tickets.
