Barry Bonds in reverse.
re: Why does my lob wedge hate me ?

With my lob and pitching wedges on the chipping practice green, you’d think I have a PGA tour card in my pocket. On the course, I’m bopping it everywhere, overshooting the green, etc. etc. Frustrating.
re: Is Coach Kim still interested in SF Ashley MacCalla?
Posted by timlan2057 on 5/11/26 at 2:05 pm to KING NOLA
MacCalla is class of 2027 so plenty of time for that to percolate.
Still hoping for Anna Minaeva, the Russian big, but I get more pessimistic with each passing day without hearing anything.
The media is talking about “assessing” our roster as if it’s a done deal. We badly need another effective post who can put up at least credible resistance to the endless supply of giants at South Carolina and UConn. This roster with no further additions may reach the Elite Eight at best, but a bad matchup may mean the Sweet 16 is once again the end of the trail in 2027.

Well I guess there’s always the SECT but man, the pitching it is going to take to win that thing that we just don’t have.

I think the fat lady has finished warming up and is now walking onto the stage.

Nice that we control our own destiny. I am so pleasantly surprised that City got nicked. A double would be a resounding way to break the trophy-less streak.

Go 13-17. Reach the SECT semis.
Then MAYBE.
Then MAYBE.

The first three-and-out this season, he’ll be calling for Kiffin to be fired.

It would been better if we could have gotten then both.
I don’t think Kim was going to sign all three of Morro, Diakhate, and Minaeva with Knox and Koval already aboard.

Depending on when she applied , we may hear something any day now or several more weeks .
With that being an issue, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Would be nice if we could have just reeled in Fatima Diakhate from Pitt, but goddamn, she signed with Rutgers.
Gotta hand it to Redus on that one. He signed somebody LSU could have used.

It probably doesn’t help Texas now has beach volleyball. I would imagine they’re a huge draw for the same talent-especially considering how great they are at indoor volleyball
While a lot of people here guffawed and said Texas “will find out how hard the SEC is,” face it. They’ve come into the SEC and if they have not dominated across all sports, they have come pretty damn close. They are definitely the best overall athletic program in the SEC.

Around 14-16K per year these last few years.

I thought she would sign when Morro did. But there obviously has been a hold up. Safe to assume this is not a done deal.

Is Larry being forecasted as the backup PG?

Looks like there are a couple of these loser incels who can’t get a woman and so they hate women and women’s sports going through here downvoting everything.

Anna looks like the kind of player we need. Hope her and Koval get along if she signs. She made Kim change the name of that Russian named drill that Kim learned scouting her to the Ukrainian drill.
Kim is detail-oriented. I would sure think she had a long talk with Koval about this and would not be recruiting Minaeva if Koval had a problem with it.
Minaeva-Koval-Morro-Knox would be a nice rotation down low and would free ZJohnson to play the three. And yes, Morro’s maturity would be an asset as well as her and Minaeva’s experience in the rough and tumble of Euro pro WBB.
But let’s not get too giddy. We are still going to struggle to match up to that endless depth of five stars that SC has.
I think if Minaeva comes aboard and we find a back up PG who can give you some good minutes that this team will definitely be Elite Eight. Beyond that will be a challenge.

Not familiar with Page but she seems like a good experienced pick up. I think Mulkey did about as good as could be done retooling this coaching staff.

The most disappointing thing about this season has been the absolute lack of leadership and grit from the Omaha veterans on this squad. You’d think roughing it through that grind and winning a NC would give us a leg up throughout the season.
