Media and Broadcasting: Media rights for Texas A&M athletics are handled through the Southeastern Conference (SEC) broadcast agreements, which include partners like ESPN. Contract terms are negotiated commercially, not bypassed by state immunity.
Exactly in line with what I said. I will say it slower. Disney could sue the SEC, but they could not sue the schools directly.

It’s a shame the SEC has to go to such lengths to force LSU to do the right thing. The dumb part about it is LSU doesn’t need to sign any of those guys to be competitive. I could understand if it was Arkansas, just as an example, but LSU already has a solid roster.

I'm sure the SEC would really enjoy A&M refusing to play LSU.

Any team the SEC replaced LSU with would bring in basically the same revenue. You think LSU baseball revenue makes a dent in what the SEC makes

lol. All this nonsence coming from the ignorant.

LSU top 6 most watched college football program this century. past 25 years.
LSU top 5 most watched college football program past 18 years.
LSU top 4 most watched college football program last year.
LSU top 1 Most watched college football regular season game on record.

LSU top 5 largest college football stadium 102,321 seating capacity.
LSU top 7 largest stadium in the WORLD.
LSU top 1 or #1 stadium experience voted most years.
LSU top 5 tailgating and gameday experience vote most years.
LSU top 8 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS all sports.
LSU top 11 NCAA Football Champions - 1908, 1958, 2003, 2007, 2019.
LSU 1st team from the south recognized as National Champions
LSU Top 1 Best team (resume) in college football history 2019
LSU Top 1 Top scorer in college basketball history. Pete Maravich
LSU Top 2 National Championships in baseball

Who could possibly replace LSU? Bet you can't answer that.

My first comment “ I’m sure the SEC would love to renegotiate the TV deal after seeing the B1Gs TV deal.”

No mention of LSU, no mention of kicking them out. Just a fact.

Carry on.

This has been the most entertaining the sec rant has ever been. ALL LSU, ALL THE TIME!

I disagree. 2011 and 2012 Alabama/LSU games were much more entertaining. Plus ATPB insanity with dipshits like Tuthilltiger was peak SEC Rant entertainment.

The SEC can't expel LSU over this. They'd lose the television deal.

Yes they can. They won't, but absolutely they could.

LSU fans are still banned on Tidefans because of the 9-6 outcome

Even 1/9/12 didn't get us a reinstatement.

You think the SEC can actually drop LSU.

Yes. LSU is not anywhere close to as important as you fools think you are. That is the point of a conference, especially on with 15 other teams that include Alabama, Texas, UGA, Tenner, Texas AM, Oklahoma, Florida, Ole Miss and Kentucky.

Here you go.

quote:

Nissan's Heisman House is a fictional place in your television where all the Heisman Trophy winners make some side cash by engaging in scripted wit and promoting Nissan vehicles in the process.

Just don't tell this LSU message board user that.

In one of those "surely that's not real, right... right?" internet moments that briefly shakes your faith in humanity, an LSU-focused message board user named "Adam Banks" had some real concerns about the logistics of how the Heisman House functions.

You know, like a serious adult would, not like a 3-year-old who still thinks a monster lives under their rug. That'd be silly; this is serious.

His prompt: Will former LSU quarterback and Heisman winner Joe Burrow not living in the Heisman House affect LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels' chances of winning the prestigious trophy?

I would bet one kajillion trillion dollars that LSU isn't getting expelled from the conference for this lol

holy hyperbole

Right. What holds more weight - our judicial system rulings or the SEC? There is your answer.

Now, if the courts reverse this and LSU moves forward with playing these guys anyway (which they already said they won't), then the SEC would have a clear case to punish LSU (rightly so). Right now, the court system is the SEC's daddy and they know it. It's the law. It's quite simple. And the players could sue schools too for discrimination if schools just turned them down based on the SEC throwing an arbitrary temper tantrum going against judicial court rulings (the law of our country).
