6 natties

LSU: 6 natties and 7 CWS finals total.

SC: 2 natties and 6 CWS finals total.

FSU: 23 CWS appearances, 3 finals, 0 natties

Oregon State: 7 CWS appearances, 3 natties - that's not even fair.

Back when LSU won in 2000, they had 11 appearances and 5 titles. That is some kind of crazy conversion ratio at the top level right there.

From 1991-2000, they had 7 appearances and 5 titles. It actually took Skip until his 5th trip to win one.

Kinda crazy. When Skip took over, LSU hadn't made the NCAAT ever...He won the West in year 2 and went to his first CWS in year 3, 5 of those 6 seasons, and 11 over the course of 15 seasons.

FSU LOL. I know we never won it but 23 appearances and not one title seems like a curse.

It's one of the more puzzling statistical anomalies I've ever seen.

And if the wind didn't change direction in 1998...they would have had 6 of 7.

Corbin is the man. 2 in 4 tries (with a runner up) is consistently doing damage against good teams in that ballpark

LSU still has a loooooong way to go to equal the all-time champs, USC Trojans. It's been 20 years since the Trojans last made it to the CWS in Omaha, but when they do...watch out.

NCAA Tournament Appearances = 37
NCAA World Series Appearances = 21
NCAA World Series Titles = 12
NCAA World Series Runnerup = 2

Winning 12 titles out of 21 appearances = 57% chance of winning it all just by getting to the CWS. That's astounding.
