I find it weird how different regions brag about having good BBQ. Like everyone BBQs

try to find BBQ in AZ and let me know how that goes.

do they not BBQ in arizona or something?
Posted on 8/3/21 at 10:02 pm to philly444
they try to do something but it's not BBQ. It's the worst BBQ scene I've ever seen, and I lived there for 7 years doing without.
They need to hire a staff of consultants from KC, TX, and Memphis to come in there and teach classes to the public. It's widespread public incompetence and they're all guilty.

Nothing beats central Texas style BBQ brisket. Burnt ends are heaven

Texas is a mixture of the Deep South, the Midwest, the Southwest, and Northern Mexico...We grew up with the best of all those worlds...Sweet Tea, Coke and Peanuts, Tex Mex and Authentic Mexican food, and the Best BBQ on earth, Fried catfish, and Crawfish boils, fried chicken joints and Whataburgers on every corner..Red Beans and Cornbread is a meal..Cornbread in milk can also be a meal..

We BBQ at home, there is just no good BBQ restaurants. The ones they call awesome out here in AZ would just be average in Texas, the Midwest, or deep South..

Funny enough sweet tea was never a thing in Austin until the late 2000s when McDonalds starting selling it.
I didn't realize how widespread it was until I lived in NC and VA - if those two count as Southern states to ya'll.
