SEC Crowds

I've seen a lot of crowds at SEC games in recent years that do certain things such as the "checkboard" in Neyland Stadium or the "blackout" at Sanford Stadium. Do you enjoy when your school does this or do you think it's tacky? Every time South Carolina does something like this, it never ends well.

I enjoy everything about Checker Neyland except losing the games.

I think it's a pretty cool look. SC always gets their arse whipped when we do a "blackout".

The Neyland checkerboard looks great, blackouts look horrible and Penn State's whiteout is cool as shite.

We started doing a maroon out back in the late 90s. We have one special maroon out game each year, but in reality, we wear maroon to pretty much all our games. This year we're doing maroon & white stripes. I think the best look we've done is the red-white-blue out the week after 9/11 and then again 20 years later.

darker colors really hide the crowd. A&M has a Maroon Out every game but I prefer the masses wearing whatever from my days as a student there.

I don't like the blackout at all. I think a white out would look 10x better.

I was always impressed that no matter how good or bad the season is going South Carolina fans pack the stadium, at least til halftime. Great fans, they deserve good teams.

The best way to get more fans to wear masks to games during the height of covid would have been to specify what color the masks had to be.

Tacky! Esp. when it involves colored clothing in certain sections.
When I was in Ct., went to a minor league ball game where they gave us "S'mores Sticks"...which were wooden dowels with 1 end in kind of a point. I don't think anybody did appropriate R/D to think it was a good idea for wooden sticks to be used with a campfire. Another time they gave away loafs of bread.
