Maybe Missouri should join the Big 10?

The advice we received a few years ago was to fly into Cusco but stay in the Sacred Valley to acclimate to the altitude. That seemed to work really well for us and we had a great trip in 2019.
We arrived on Monday afternoon and had a private driver take us to our hotel in Yucay, which was a small town with a few good restaurant options. The next day we had a private tour of the Sacred Valley, which took us to Ollantaytambo (Incan fortress and battle site) Moray (terraced architectural site), and the salt mine in Moray. We also had a stop for a textile demonstration and went into someone's home to try the corn beer.
The next morning we hired a driver to take us back to Ollantaytambo to catch a morning train to Aguas Calientes. Once we got there, we went up to Machu Picchu where we met our tour guide who showed us through the ruins.
We then spent the night in Aguas Calientes and went back to Machu Picchu the next morning. Since we had a guided tour the previous day, we were able to go back in by ourselves and hiked to the sun gate and then to the inca bridge. After that we walked back through the ruins on our own.
We then took the train back to Ollantaytambo, then met our driver to take us to Cusco where we stayed a couple of nights. I really liked Cusco and thought it was worth spending time in.
I'm not sure what else you're looking at in Peru, but I'd recommend spending a few days in the rain forest. Before going to the Sacred Valley, we flew from Lima to Puerto Maldanado where we spent a few nights at a "resort" along the Madre de Dios river. The resort had planned excursions every day to allow you to see wildlife and flora of the region. It's a pretty amazing experience to wake up at 4:00 am to the sounds of howler monkeys over your cabin.

We're going in July.
We're flying into Zurich then spending two nights in Lucerne. During our full day in Lucerne I think we're going to go up to Mt. Rigi, hike down to the mineral baths and spend some time there, then return to the city.
We're then going to Murren for 4 nights. I think we'll spend one day on the each side of the valley hiking and riding to the mountain peaks (Jungraujoch one day and Schilthorn the other). The third full day will either be exploring the lakes around Interlaken, a day trip to Bern, or interesting hiking areas we didn't get to already. Which day we do what out of Murren will be largely weather dependent.
We're then going to Zermatt for a night. On the afternoon we get there the plan is to take the cable car to Blautherd and hike to Stellisee. The next morning we'll take the Gornergrat train and hike to Riffelsee. Hopefully we'll have great views of the Matterhorn on one of those two.
We then take an afternoon train to Geneva and fly out the next day.

I get the criticism that the stadium is older and hasn't been updated to match other SEC facilities. I don't get the criticism of the area the stadium is in. Anyone who thinks WMS is located in "the hood" or "the ghetto" clearly hasn't spent much time in urban areas.
The stadium is bordered to the west by the old golf course, to the south by the zoo, to the east by a hospital, and to the north by a neighborhood which, while older, I wouldn't consider to be "the hood" or "the ghetto."
Here are some links to homes currently listed for sale on Zillow within walking distance of the stadium:
* 6 minute walk to stadium
* 7 minute walk to stadium
* 8 minute walk to stadium
* 10 minute walk to stadium
Again, I get that the stadium is old and outdated, especially compared to the renovated stadium in Fayetteville, and that we lose a home game for recruiting visits by playing in LR, especially during the years when we're the "home" team against A&M in Dallas. Those are all valid reasons to stop playing in LR without fear mongering about the area the stadium is in.

One thing to keep in mind for players considering going pro is that NBA teams' approach has changed over the last few years.
In the past, if you were an NBA GM you were looking to draft a player who was ready to make your roster and contribute immediately. Now, with the G League, teams can draft a player who may not be ready to contribute now, but with a year or two more experience and seasoning will be.
This gives a player who may not be NBA ready now but will be in a year or two the option to go pro and continue to develop while getting paid well to play in the G league and perhaps a few NBA games during the season.

I love how the thread subject line is "tiny part" and the first post is a photo of Trump.

Our favorite was Cocina Abierta near Condado Beach.

Maybe they can finally put that "8&4" nickname behind them.

We were in NYC at the end of Feb 2020 and enjoyed it (yes, very well-timed trip). We stayed next to Bryant Park which had a temporary ice skating rink in it. The kids might enjoy that. Definitely bring your cold weather gear.

Not a lot of bad ideas in here, but will add that Seville is worth a detour. Just a great old city with tons of history, great food, walkable, etc…
Seville is also fun - the tapas scene is pretty similar to Mardid, and you can do a day trip to Tangiers, though that requires renting a car to drive to the coast.

I'd suggest 4 cities instead of 5 so you aren't traveling as much. It would also give you time to take an interesting day trip out of each city.
I think Madrid and Barcelona should be definites for Spain.
The Prado in Madrid is a top-notch art museum and the food and drink scene is a lot of fun. My favorite spots were around Plaza de Santa Ana. Toledo is a quick easy day trip from here.
Barcelona is like if Florence and Miami had a kid - stay near the old cathedral and spend your evenings after dinner and too much cheap wine wandering the winding alleys trying to find your way back to your hotel. A lot of the beach towns mentioned above could be day trips from Madrid, but I haven't been to any of them.
In Portugal, I really enjoyed Lisbon. I thought the food was relatively inexpensive but tasty. If you go here, be sure to try to the custard pastries called pastel de nata and end your evening by getting a glass of ginjinha on your way back to your room.
I'd probably add Porto as the fourth stop, though I haven't been there.

I'd nominate
1. The Fish fumbled punt in the 2006 SEC championship game vs Florida. I was sitting in the upper deck in the corner and had a great view until the Florida fans around me all stood up.
2. The Tony Jones touchdown to end the 1987 Texas game at War Memorial. This is the only loss to actually make me cry (I was 12)
3. The Mallett interception in the 2011 Sugar Bowl. That still a fun trip. I think I'm too old for a bowl game in New Orleans now.

In Mission/Pacific Beach, be sure to eat breakfast at Woody's. I like Miss B's Coconut Club for cocktails a block or so off the beach. There's a good Spanish restaurant called Costa Brava that's a short drive away. Just south of you in Ocean Beach is Pizza Port for beer and pizza.
Rent a bicycle and ride around Mission Bay, or rent a kayak and paddle around a bit. Belmont Park can be fun - there's an old wooden roller coast with great views before the plunge.

The best way to get more fans to wear masks to games during the height of covid would have been to specify what color the masks had to be.
