Right. Because Big Pharma and the Government cares so much about us and would never think to exploit our fear. I’m going to trust them and take a risk for something that didn’t even make me sick.

That fear of government and big pharma isn’t gonna change no matter what party is in charge

Nixon attended the game of the century in 1969 between Texas and Arkansas but I recall he stayed in the press box for the entire game.
Just attending is enough. I agree with him not being on the field. And honestly it is not a big deal either. Some want to make a mountain out of mole hill.
No, he sat in the stands among the plebs. When G.W. Bush was governor of Texas and also part owner of the Texas Rangers he sat in the stands. In fact I used to get tickets to sit in the Rangers family section from Juan Gonzalez (long story, barely knew him lol) and sat directly behind, but one row back from GW Bush and Dick Vitale (Secret Service was in the row between, Bush Sr was Prez) and heard their entire Convo throughout the game.

It's not a vaccine is the #1 problem with your statement.

Anger is a hell of a drug.

This is just normal for a lot of people now. They're trapped in ideological siloes where every piece of media they consume is designed to stoke the powerful emotions of fear, outrage, and tribalism. This in turn shapes the algorithm that determines what will be shown to them in the future, and they're on their way down the rabbit hole. We've created a media environment where the penalties for being unfair or even flat out deceitful are negligible but the rewards for telling your audience a version of the truth that fits their prejudices are huge.

Add in the fact that trust in the institutions that could potentially play the role of umpire in this scenario is at an all-time low, and you get what we have today: dueling camps of perpetually aggrieved people who can't agree on anything and are addicted to the anger fixes they get several times a day through their chosen media.

Because both parties are owned by the same people. Trump not being owned is why he is hated. I just wish he wasn't so stupid when it comes to picking those around him. Maybe his 2nd chance will better.

you’re saying the government wants to kill the people who are most likely to follow its orders?

I'd say it was a test run to see just how easy it is to control the population in this country. They succeeded mightily except for us few still pure bloods. Lol

“Conspiracy theorists are not all likely to be simple-minded, mentally unwell folks—a portrait which is routinely painted in popular culture,” said Bowes. “Instead, many turn to conspiracy theories to fulfill deprived motivational needs and make sense of distress and impairment.”
The research was published online in the journal Psychological Bulletin.“

Can you blame them?

Nixon actually knew and followed college football
Ford played for MeatChicken
Clinton was Broyled a Hog

All DJT did was cost UGA another Natty with Herschel (costing him the next year)

Not wanting conference games to be used as political rallies is a good thing long term.

Also the security considerations would have been way more complicated to have him walking around on the field versus in the box.

I’m just spitballing here, but maybe if people would stop trying to shoot him…?

Here is my take:

Neither Trump, nor Harris should be allowed to make an on-field appearance for an SEC game. The conference needs to focus on football, and not politics.

If Harris or Trump buy ad times during the SEC games, that is negotiated with the network...not the SEC. That's the free market...you buy what is available on the market and competition drives the price up.

This is football...any and all politicians who try to get in the way of SEC football can eat a bag of D1CKS!

And this would be extended to all ex-presidents?
I don't like politiicians, and can't stand the hero worship that develops around them. But we have always extended courtesies to former presidents in this country. It is actually injecting politics to deny what has been 2 centuries plus of tradition.
I have a feeling different logics would be applied depending on each individual situation.

No you’re the ignoramus as it states on the Cracker Barrel peg game. It’s not about a vaccine, it’s about being forced to take a vaccine, and if you don’t you lose your job, and potentially ruin your life. No matter what side you’re on, people should agree with that. Democrats are big about government staying out of conversations regarding a woman’s body and abortion, why is it different when government mandates you get the jab?

You are stretching.. if Trump wasn't actively seeking election. It would have played out differently.

Once again SEC has no business being in politics and they stayed neutral like they should.

You guys are complaining about nothing
