Wow. LSU should thank the SEC schedulers for what they have left. A good high school team should go .500 playing that schedule.

Yeah but LSU could have been buried with the early schedule similar to Tenn
USC and UK were much tougher than beginning of season indicated while Ole Miss and Auburn have not lived up to preseason hype as both were omaha teams

Does that mean they should be mad about the first part of their SEC schedule?

It is a great (on paper) closing stretch for LSU but their season was front loaded this year. Regardless, while I am sure they'd love another SEC championship, they are playing for seeding in the post season more than anything.

LSU fans will cheerfully trade an SEC championship for another Natty.

The big question is can State and Ole Miss turn things around? I don't think anyone expected them to fall off a cliff this bad.

Tough row to hoe for us to make the tournament.

How are they going to do the tournament when the two interlopers tag along in the SEC? Go to 16 teams pods (4 of 4)? That would put the two in the championship game playing 4 games. Not good going into the regionals. For what's best for teams in regionals, I think I would stick with current format and leave 6 out instead of the lowest 4. I guess that they will decide that in Destin if they haven't already.

Just cancel it. All it’s good for is injuries.

I'm glad the East is the tougher division this year. Us baws in the West need a break. We've been carrying the SEC in baseball for way too long.

I do like the tournament and the history but... it might be hard to fit that into what is going to become a tight schedule.

Ole Miss will have its best weekend of the year against LSU this year. We will get their season kick-started just like last year

start walking batters and making some errors and LSU can lose to anyone especially Ole Miss.

It's what happens when the conference gets too big
LSU played Fla and Vandy last year
And when OU and Texas join it's gonna be harder to make up schedules with more teams and only playing ten series

We are supposed to get our best pitcher back this weekend so there's that.

We used to go every year and stay 6 or 7 days in the RV park. We would stay even if State was eliminated. Park starts emptying the day after elimination games are played. Was my favorite week of the year.
It can hurt you or help you but if you are solid and not going up or down due to tournament results, I would sleep walk it and save arms and legs.
