re: Institute for the Study of War with an interesting take on where things stand with Iran

I'm tryin to figure out what's interesting about this.
It's straightforward and not surprising.
Iran in internal struggle, trying to hold on to nukes and Hormuz.

Does the ABS challenges/overturn ratio prove

That LSU fans might have been right this season, when they said it’s amazing how many 50/50 b/s calls went against LSU pitchers?
Seriously wondering after watching this clown behind the plate tonight and how badly he obviously wanted to punch out Tiger batters, it makes me wonder if our pitchers suffered from the inverse of our hitters tonight.
Not saying it would have changed the season, 3 pitch strikeouts prove how bad some can be at the plate.
But with the stretch of LSU scoring over 8 runs in so many consecutive games, it’s got me wondering if pitchers had to throw meatballs to get calls.

FIFY.
Our catchers have a massive chin problem.
Blocking a ball should be paramount as we've seen what Passed Balls have done to us this season.
not only for his own safety, but to keep the ball in front of them, when a ball is in the dirt, the catcher's chin should be at his chest, face down looking at the ball.
Too many times this season our catchers lift their head up and expose their neck to a ball bouncing off the dirt.
It's also why our catchers don't know where the ball is a majority of the time when it's in the dirt and they don't catch it cleanly.

I’d still like to see how many hits this shift has created this year against LSU.
It seems like (anecdotal) that it’s burned us like 80% of the time this year.
I don’t know, but man it’s happened a lot.

I’d love to have the time to look at this season and see how many times this shift has hurt us vs benefitted us defensively.
The damn shift even got fielded cleanly tonight but couldn’t make the throw. If that’s Milam it’s an easy out.
Tired of the “statistics” favoring what we do, but reality is something much different.

re: We still going to deny that Jay missed on a lot of portal guys?

Heard an interesting theory...the theory is this, we didn't miss in the portal.
The team is still "signing autographs" off of last year's Championship.
The inference is that the team, most of whom didn't play on that team, thought it was going to be handed to them and now they're lost.
I don't know, but it seems as plausible as anything.

How many errors is this in this game? Should be roughly 4,348,304.
but it is...this is just not our year.
Every coaching decision, bounce, call...really just not going our way.
Baseball gods seem to want a pound of flesh for 2 Nattys in the last 3 years.

That foot went forward, surprised Jay didn't make a stink about it.
Would love to know what is causing our hitters...
Posted by LafTiger on 4/10/26 at 7:09 pm
to pop up so many damn times.
it's not just that we pop them up, it's disproportionate to teams we play, and that's why I can't figure it out.
Of course it's because mechanically our hitters lift their front shoulder, but why can't our coaches change that?

clown behind the mic has 0 integrity. He'd be losing his shite if that call went against Tn. in that situation.

This is the dumbest statistical crap I’ve seen from a coach in a while. Serna was the one she should have no been bunting.
And that’s why you bunt serna.
Yeah. Augustus Gloop has to think it’s a freakin wonka bar to catch it at first.
quote:
He did call strike. Had no impact on play.
Wrong...he delayed his call, Catcher had to hesitate as no one knew if it was a strike or a ball...watch the hitter, he didn't realize it till the ump makes the call.

That's on the ump...He needs to quickly call that a strike so the catcher can react.
Broke the mit...damn.

I love the way they start defending him after immediately calling two pitches for LSU balls, that were strikes in the top of the inning.
