That's laughable coming from a Bama fan. Anyway, I am kinda surprised so many of you want an original Big 6 member kicked out of the conference. I would never want another original member kicked out. That seems kinda short sighted and down right stupid.

Not sure the big upset here. We get to join the ACC and essentially don't even have to compete to make the playoffs. Sounds perfect.

LSU voluntarily joined a conference with the agreement to abide by its rules. Ignoring those rules and then taking to court in a friendly jurisdiction to get your way in total defiance of what the members agreed to was bound to have consequences. You buy the ticket you ride the ride.

You’re assuming another conference will take you. You just took this one to court in order to get around rules that the rest of the members agreed to. I think that’s a big assumption.

The way I see it - this is what results when the conference’s authority to enforce rules is seriously questioned by a state court.
It's likely both things. Conference authority is the bigger issue, because that becomes a threat to the conference itself. The SEC has watched the NCAA's power slowly erode over the years. The SEC will fight tooth and nail to prevent the same thing happening to them.

Sorry to ruin your boner, but ACC and Big 12 will come running to take a top tier athletic program. LSU, A&M, etc.. Every year they are hanging by a thread to avoid losing their current team.

LSU did not file any lawsuits against the ncaa or the sec. Ole Miss voluntarily joined a conference and agreed to abide by its rules. The sec is part of the ncaa. When the ncaa rule chambliss ineligible, why did the sec and ole miss not comply?
