What did LSU do wrong? Haven't rostered any players that signed or went through the NFL process unlike Texas who isnt a problem apparently. Didn't yall have a WR who played pro baseball for a few years and then came back? Thats not a problem though? This is dumb and Sankey needs to be quiet and quit turning up the heat.

It's a power move to put LSU and Kiffin back in their place.

It's also dumb they have to ask the government to allow them to kick a team out of their conference if it comes to it.

At this point let’s just part ways. B1G or ACC would take us.

B1G would be absolutely terrible culture fit. Do you want all of our biggest games of the season to be kicking off at 11am?

If we were in the B1G, we'd have been playing Clemson on Big Noon Kickoff when it was 100 degrees and the sun directly overhead.

Half-time speeches perfectly fit the definition of HYPERBOLE,

If a halftime comment can now become an addendum to a lawsuit, what exactly happens next? Are teams going to have to add a “halftime comment coach” to the staff whose sole responsibility is making sure the head coach gives the proper answer to every sideline reporter’s question?

At some point, this has to be taken in the proper context. Coaches are going to make spontaneous comments during a game, and not every off-the-cuff remark needs to be dissected and incorporated into a legal argument. This is just beyond ridiculous to me.

They won't vote to expel LSU, this is just to slap them on the wrist and show them who is boss.

I guess you didn't read the X posts from Ross/Clay/etc saying Sankey has renewed expulsion talk on the grounds of, I kid you not, Lane said something sarcastic in the moment of a halftime interview and our President didn't make a statement against it after the game.

Sankey equal clown world.

I just want to make sure that I am understanding all of this clearly. There are TROs all over college athletics, including the SEC, that are allowing players to play. LSU did not play any of these players. But, they are still going to single out LSU?

the comments from a half time speech will never be part of the trial record. it is not admissible for the purposes Sankey is trying to use them

It’s interesting to see so many posters on this board defending the commissioner of a major college football conference, particularly given his testimony that he wasn’t aware of the 5-for-5 ruling beforehand and only skimmed over it on the flight to Baton Rouge for the hearing. That is just inexcusable to me (not knowing the 5-for-5 ruling).

They aren’t asking permission. They’re requesting a restraining order preventing LSU from suing them if they were to kick them out.

Think about that for a second, because it’s actually much worse.

Well it would be a large legal battle but I still don't think the conference has anything to gain by kicking them out because the ncaa doesn't control anything and they don't have a replacement lined up
