Kiffin and LSU isolated themselves.

Kiffin and LSU aren’t the only program that went after NFL players and they aren’t the only program with players playing under a restraining order against the NCAA and SEC.

They aren’t even isolated

I would miss our SEC matchups and longtime rivalry traditions but if this is how Sankey wants to be than I’m totally fine with leaving to another conference or independent.

You'll have to be independent because you would be blackballed by the major conferences.

It's not going to happen; this is a warning shot and I'm sure LSU will take notice.

Shouldn't have left those 2 spots open.

I've explained it over and over, and I'm not going to waste my time any longer. You can keep pretending to be victims while showing your asses at every chance you get.

Kiffin left 2 spots open on your roster and talked a bunch of shite. So the SEC fired another warning shot.

The reason that this case is being brought out is because the SEC feels like they’ve got some kind of evidence that LSU-Kiffin suggested to these players that they sue.

There have been hundreds and hundreds of players sue for more eligibility. I'd be willing to bet most had encouragement from their coaches to take that route. Why is this so different even if Kiffin did speak with two of the litigants prior? The SEC didn't pass any new policies on rostering "pro players" until after the lawsuit had been filed. And once the SEC passed that policy, Kiffin chose not to roster the players.

So now we're getting punished for not filling out the roster?

LSU pays some fines, and there are some temporary restrictions or maybe a coaching suspension

Not a chance. Federal suit gets laughed out of court and Sankey resigns in a month or two.

No, you are being warned not to fill them.

If you don't fill them, nothing happens. If you fill them with pro players, adios.

LSU would be crying their eyes out if this actually happened.

I wouldn't. At this point, just do it if that's what all of you and the SEC want. I'm not going to lose any sleep over something that doesn't affect my daily life.

a halftime speech to keep your team engaged in the second half of a blowout as legitimate grounds for anything in a lawsuit

this

Half-time speeches perfectly fit the definition of HYPERBOLE,
the judge will laugh at the lawyer who introduces this addendum to the suit.

This is all just theatre by the SEC

all 16 teams voted for the rules with the penalties (Including LSUs AD)

by stating they have power to expel from conference, it gives weight to LSU not playing the players in defiance of local judges.

IMO, this whole fiasco is to blow up the NCAA....this is showing the them as inept

I have a feeling the federal suit ultimately gets tossed, but we’ll see how it plays out. As for Sankey resigning, I’m not convinced that will happen either. However, if the suit is dismissed, I do think it could result in him losing even more credibility and face than he already has. Time will tell.

I am not a fan of it but we have fined the ever loving frick out of coaches criticizing refs for eons. It has been SEC policy to censor what coaches say for a very, very long time. IDK if that policy applies to other things because not criticizing refs is something that frequently come up but I would not be surprised at all.

Question. How many times have you seen this happen and a school's President publicly reprimand the coach on top of the conference's penalty?

Zero.

Just part of the laughably stupid argument from Sankey and the Ole Miss/tenner camps.

It’s going to be hilarious when they don’t expel LSU and the lawsuit gets tossed.

LSU and Kiffin will roster those two players just as a frick you to the rest of them.

Just watch.

Surprised people in this conference are ok with a commissioner who picks and chooses which schools to enforce it “rules” on. I get why the gumps are upset bc they benefit from it. But it’s pretty damn obvious now the SEC leadership is biased af.

Even Kirby was bitching about Sankey when he was being handed the trophy 2 years ago. If anything we should all band together and kick this Yankee out. He’s imported half the big 12 and the conference has gone down hill since he’s taken over.

Time for new leadership.
