Y'all can hate it all you want, but burrows season is better and more consistent than cams.

If you want to argue pure talent fine, but production...no

No, that would be Derrick Thomas.

Burrow
5020 Passing/Rushing/Rec Yards
51 P/R/R TDs

Cam Newton
4369 P/R/R yards
51 P/R/R TDs

Cam was probably the single greatest season I had ever seen till this year. Joe is just so fricking good it’s not laughable to put him over Cam, despite Cam’s rushing insane stats.

No I'm just pointing out the recency bias. I would think an all decade team would have more to do with someone who at least played for at least a 3rd of a
the decade. Not a fifth and only relevant for a 10th. Otherwise I would say cams 10th of the decade was better than Burrows

Laremy Tunsil should be at OT and Evan Engram at TE.

Your three WR choices are great. Crazy we are leaving off AJ Brown from Ole Miss, Devonta Smith from Bama, OBJ and Landry from LSU, but that’s how good those three WRs are/were.

Jonathan Allen belongs on your list over Garrett. Not having CJ Mosley or Donta Hightower on your list is an error. I don’t know how much more dominant Mosley could’ve been. He won the Butkus and SEC DPOY, was a two time all American, and was twice first team all SEC.

And that's my point. If Burrow wasn't even considered seven months ago, is what he's done in 7 months literally more impacting than any other qb who has played 7 months in the conference this decade

It isn't just about the paper.

Look at what Cam did with an average Auburn offense. That was special.

If Tebow was in this decade, I'm guessing yall would put Burrow in over Tebow also.

it would never be "laughable" to put a heisman winner with the stats burrow has put up on the list. Once you get into that upper pantheon it's really splitting hairs on who to pick.

I think for me (and probably others), the reason cam would get the nod is because of how mediocre AU would have been without him (not to mention, he obviously did put up crazy stats of his own). Take away burrow and put in someone else on LSU this year. They still have elite WRs, an outstanding RB, very good defense, incredible OC/DCs, etc. They may not be 13-0 (or may be?) but they damn sure aren't going to be a bad team. Auburn was almost a 5 loss team even WITH cam, that's how good he was. He was truly the difference in AU making the independence bowl and winning the natty.

Unless it comes to throwing the ball, you know that thing a QB does.

You're giving their filthy defense that year absolutely no credit.

Well, the decade wasn't yet over then, was it?

Premature all-decade team is premature.

Based upon what?

Passer rating
Cam - 182
Burrow - 201.5

Completion %
Cam - 66.1%
Burrow - 77.9%

TD Passes
Cam - 30
Burrow - 48

Passing Yards
Cam - 2854
Burrow - 4715

Rushing Yards
Cam - 1473
Burrow - 289

Rushing TD's
Cam - 20
Burrow - 3

Total Yards
Cam - 4,369
Burrow - 5,020

Total TD's
Cam - 51
Burrow - 51

Another word about these stats which show that Burrow is having a better season than Cam's 2010 season. Cam's numbers were through 14 games and Joe's are only through 13.....and still counting

Every award that Cam won, those that have been announced, Joe has won as well.

Cam over Joe all day playa and I am a Joe fan.

Cam didnt have near the talent around him that Joe does. Cam won 4-6 games that year by himself

Is LSU's offense average without Burrow? I'm thinking yes. There's an obvious bias for what would be considered a tie between the two for this list. I'm OK with that.

Personally, I don't like Cam, but the dude was a man among boys and deservedly, has my respect for his god-given ability. He WAS the Auburn offense in 2010. Game planning for Auburn was simple that year- Stop Cam. The problem was that no one could.

What did you watch that you would rather not have a record setting passer as the all decade QB?
