There has been significant discussion related to the economic impact to the State of Louisiana when LSU does not field a great football team. It is more than $1billion to Baton Rouge alone in a single football season. Woodward has stacked LSU by standing by Will Wade - Basketball, hiring Kim Mulkey -women's basketball, hiring Jay Johnson - baseball and now Brian Kelly. Add that shite to your "ledger". Total idiotic post.

LMAO!

So you fail to address any of the numbers and just deflect with "economic impact" for the state?
WTF does this have to do with the
money being spent and borrowed by your athletic dept?

And you guys continually talk about how you don't use a penny in state funding or student funding for athletics.

Here ya go.Please scroll down debt service for college athletics LSU #7

And the $20 million annual service
is the largest in the SEC as a percentage of AD revenue.

ETA.This article was written before the impact of Covid in the 2020 season and the reported $80 million lossby the LSU AD

Must have some very symathetic bankers in Baton Rouge.

Thanks. That is borrowing by the Tiger Athletic Foundation not the athletic department.

The Scotty method is genius. Using other people's money (rich boosters) over pay for name coaches in their twilight / end of their careers looking for one last big money pay day. Simpleton fan base goes nuts over said "big name" hire and praise Drunken Scotty. When the over paid going through the motions coach doesn't pan out, Scotty's excuse " It's not my fault. I hired the best coach available. It just didn't work out as we planned." The man is a genius. I tell you.
