Possibly. Or it could've been vanilla because the starting quarterback wasnt with the team for much of the offseason and the entire offensive unit was very inexperienced.

I like the narrative that LSU can take relative unknowns and allow the three to create the best team of all time.....on the cheap.
It’s devastating to think you’ve paid 7.5 for less than ten wins.
It’s either they are really good coaches or LSU program just breeds success where others can’t buy it.

They’ll all be bent again this year when LSU’s Offense runs 80 plays/game (84 vs Clemson) and passes 45-50 times (49 vs Clemson) with the Saints Template that:
1. No one could compete with in 2019
2. Was mastered by Joe Burrow, an 8th Best Pro Style QB (11,400 yards passing) barely in Top 300 with HS skills as follows:
Intangibles 8
Arm Strength 8
Size 8
Release 7
Pocket Presence 7
Footwork 7
Elusiveness 6
Accuracy 6
While his replacement Brennan threw for 16,000 yards with skills ratings much higher than those shown above.

LSU is blessed to have Brennan waiting in the wings with three years under his belt. I expect him to play at the all conference level and be a guy who flashes brilliance on the long ball and intermediate routes. He has a beautiful throwing motion and great arm strength and he clearly understands the system and has many weapons. But there is only ONE Joe Burrow.
Pocket presence, genius football IQ, confidence, scrambling ability , pre snap reads, mental toughness, killer instinct- that’s what separated Joe from the competition. You just can’t duplicate that on demand.
TLDR- LSU goes 15-0 Brennan is GOAT.

And how many passing coordinators are famous? It’s an assistant position. I expect that you, like most everyone here, doesn’t know the name of the passing coordinator at any school other than their own. Why would they, except for Brady this past year. Linehan is probably best known passing coordinator in the country now, just because he followed Brady and his NFL experience.

Arguably the strongest arm in the SEC at QB with two years of watching and absorbing everything from a Heisman winner and #1 pick. I'm pretty sure LSU's offense will be good.
