You lost an all world #1 draft pick QB. Your offense will regress. You may have a lot of talent but you and likely nobody else in college football this season will be him.

I guess if you have to count the interim year to make yourself feel better.

What can an interim head coach really do?
He's a lame duck.

What else would he say
Did you know he was a NFL coach for the St. Louis Rams? I watched those stinky offense! He was no good. Detroit? Then Dallas? Got to see that he failed to get good offense going at Dallas and now he is saying LSU's offense is reloading, not rebuilding?

"Prepare his team" is very vague.
What changes can an interim coach actually make?

T-Law got humiliated on national television while he was crying like a little bitch after fumbling the ball because he got his chromosome deficient arse rocked.
He threw for less than 50% completion and looked like a scared kid out there. His block head was rocked and bulging eyes knocked out his head. He was the superstar on championship night. He was a chump bitch. He can’t handle playing a real championship football team. He is used to playing sissy yankee east coast queers, like himself.
T-law is a pussy and can’t hold BIG Dick Joe’s jock.

quote:He was the co-OC with Hugh Nall and called the plays on gamedays. You can ignore it if you like, but it doesn’t really affect my point. Plus it negates his only major college experience as an OC for a period of two decades, which further highlights the flukiness of last season.
Why are you counting this one?
quote:I prefer yards per play, since I feel like that is the best indicator of an offense’s performance, but the archived stats at ncaa.org are .pdf files so its more of a challenge to figure ypp. Scoring offense is badly skewed by short field scores from turnovers or returns, so its not an accurate gauge.
Also why yardage per game instead of scoring offense?
BTW, I was looking at the 2018 team stats and I didn’t realize they were sorted by scoring offense, which had LSU at #38. In terms of total offense per game, they were actually #69. I corrected my post

Eh, I mean it is what it is.
He hadn't really ran an offensive unit in 20 years prior to 2018 LSU.
He had plenty of challenges to overcome in 2018 and they were lucky to be as good as they were.

He sure was the OC for EdO In '16. Guess what. That offense set either team or individual records in almost every game.
