impossible for any CFB team in “YEAR ONE” to EXACTLY copy what a PRO teams does.
Especially since LSU was a 34% passing team vs Saints 60% when O became coach.
In Year 2 of a total offensive transformation, LSU promises to build on and replicate the last 3 games when they looked like Saints.
Earlier SEC games showed a 50/50 balanced attack, not the Saints 60% System.
Those last 3 games averaged 60% passing and the Clemson game was a masterpiece of brilliant coaching and execution after early adversity in that game, a Payton trademark.
Name me one CFB team that runs a Spread and Shred (that’s exactly what it is) closer to the Saints System than LSU. You can’t.
LSU coaches commented on comparisons between Brees and Burrow, Kamara and CEH, LSU WRs & Saints WRs in 2019.
I’ll give the 2019 LSU attempts to install and duplicate the Payton system an A+++++++, expecting another A in 2020 from a loaded Offense with Heisman Watch QB Candidate.
Year 2 begins!
What to Expect
60%+ Passing and game plans similar to those used in the last three games of the season! Checklists used to dissect play by play and pick those down and distance Best plays for success based on video review.
It’s gonna be another exciting ride!

If you truly don't know any of this you don't follow football which makes me wonder why you're even here.

They know who he is. Even BJ isn't that dumb.

What else would he say?

Of course, he said that. What til it's run, run, PA pass dink and dunk.

Why would they do that?

Les and his philosophy on offense are GONE.
Sure, it took getting the players in place and a complete rebuild of the playbook, and that took time, but after doing all that work on it, why would they go back? You’re a fool to believe they would.
You don’t work 3 years to get the right players in place and one to install a completely new offense just to abandon it the next year.
The only difference will be execution level. Nobody expects Myles to do what Burrow did. There might not be a college QB in the next 50 years to do what he did.
Myles could get HALF of Joe’s production in this offense and he would still be the #2 LSU QB in the record books, as well as likely having LSU in the CFP again.

I'm sure he's learned a lot in those 20 years.
As an LSU fan you would obviously hope so.

Or it could've been vanilla because the starting quarterback wasnt with the team for much of the offseason and the entire offensive unit was very inexperienced.
Possible, but doubtful. Best case scenario is Brady schooled him up, and gave him new perspective which is probable.

Yeah, LSU was not his only gig as OC bud. 2018 is a display of what Steve Ensminger is as an OC. Unimaginative, vanilla, and not Trendy
And we still out scored your ‘genius’ offensive minds
2018 ppg: LSU 32, Auburn 28

2018 wasn't even bad.
Burrow threw for 3000 yards after not spending the offseason with the team and having damn near 10% of his passes dropped
Everyone just writes it off because he only had 16 touchdowns which is actually pretty good looking at some of the LSU quarterbacks lately.

People on the SEC Rant think it was but after rewatching the games if our receivers caught the ball the way they did in 2019 we would have been undefeated 2 years in row! My God the dropped passes we had in 2018 was ridiculous

I believe I saw somewhere that there was a 10% drop rate by LSU receivers in 2018.

That seems kinda low! We seem to have dropped 2 tds a half in most games

"The best part about this is the offensive coordinator is still here.”
He was also there for a couple more years before 2019. That’s the OC that I suspect we’ll see whenever things start back up again.
