Three teams control their own destiny without needing help. Win and they are in. UGA, Bama and Auburn. That is your complete list.

We win out. (Possible)
This implies you control your own destiny.
You don't.
You need Alabama to lose again.
Arkansas and Mississippi St. also own head-to-heads against you.
I think that is literally what he posted, Alabama losing to Auburn and State taking another loss.
it's a pipe dream anayway. No way we win out.

There are none. I'm ok with that.

There is one scenario, but OM must win out, and Auburn (or somebody) must beat Alabama. Two toughest games remaining for OM are Auburn and A & M--the former on the road, the latter at home. Strange season so far for everyone.

Technically you can lose one and it still wouldn't matter, for getting to Atlanta at least. Only one 1-loss team behind you, and you own the head-to-head.

For Alabama:
Win out
OR
Ole Miss lose one game; Alabama lose one game to anyone but Auburn
If Alabama loses one game but it is to Auburn, and Auburn beats Ole Miss, then Auburn would need to lose 2 of the three: Texas A&M, MSU, South Carolina

I think Georgia wins out. From what I’ve seen, Georgia is without a doubt the best team in the country.

Win out
Given the W-L record of the other SEC West teams this year, there are many other scenarios where Bama makes it to Atlanta also, but I doubt there will be a reason to get into those.

In both of these scenarios, TAMU would also need to lose another game because they hold the tiebreaker against us. Very possible, just pointing that out.

Just for chaos:
Ole Miss 6-2. (losses: Alabama and A&M)
Auburn 6-2. (Losses: UGA and Ole Miss)
Alabama 6-2. (Losses: A&M and Auburn)
A&M would have 3 losses in this scenario, if only they would have beat MSU or Arkansas.

The SEC West turns into a blood bath and all of our remaining conference games are changed to playing A&M. A bunch of teams are stuck at 4-4 and we get in with a 5-3 record.
I'm not holding my breath on this scenario happening but it is pretty much the only way we make it.

quote:WAOM would never let that happen. If, gigantic IF, OM were to win out and Bama was down to Auburn there would be a reverse kick 6 or some shite happen to prevent OM from winning the division.
but OM must win out, and Auburn (or somebody) must beat Alabama
