Bring em to the Cotton Bowl this Sat for a double header. OU/TX and AL/GA back to back would feed nations.

Probably won't happen but that actually would be pretty cool

2014 Hurricane Matthew - there's precedent from SECHQ moving a home game to Sunday -

quote:

The Georgia at South Carolina football game scheduled for Saturday night in Columbia has been moved to Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET due to Hurricane Matthew, it was announced Thursday. The game will air on the SEC Network.

“Due to the potential impact of the hurricane on Columbia and the surrounding area, it is in the best interest of safety to play the game on Sunday rather than Saturday night,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said. “I appreciate the cooperation of the schools who worked closely to make the appropriate operational adjustments in order to accommodate this change in the schedule.”

Looks like the current forecast has it coming with 30-35mph winds at 2pm in Mississippi.

NINE Current Status

Seems like that should be gone by game time.

I heard this scenario today. Probably makes the most sense for Oct 24.

Not bad. I like it. Oct 24 would probably be the most sensible for fans but yes, that double header would be amazing.

The last update said the storm would be west of Tuscaloosa at 1PM. I’m thinking that would be one hell of a halftime show.

Today the GFS has the path going right over Tuscaloosa Saturday morning.

It's a night game, so hopefully it'll be cleared out by then. But still looks iffy.

They should just play the game on Sunday if they can't on Saturday IMO.

That was awesome. Two screens, one for the Falcons and one for the Dawgs.

However, the fairest and most logical thing to do is to move the game to Athens.

Move game to Athens and move future Athens game to Bama. Problem solved. That’s what Stankey ended up settling on when he couldn’t make a decision and left it up to the idiot ADs at LSU and Florida at the time. This might be #JustDifferent though.

Dalas? Yes.

Cotton Bowl? No way.

Before the game is okay. People arrive from 8am til game time.

After the game, kinda of a cluster f*ck. (Most places are) Football crowd plus State Fair.

Swapping one group of 100,000 for another, back to back? No! No! No!

Just move it to Sunday. Even if the storms pass before kickoff, the weather is going to be fricked all day. 100k+ people can’t be out during all that.
