Makes me happy that in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, no one will remember 20-30 random LSU posters complaining about phantom missed calls in this championship game, but everyone will remember the first time a true freshman QB came in at halftime down by 2 scores and won the game in overtime to give Alabama 5 championships in 9 years, extending the greatest run in modern college football history with the greatest coach ever in college football.

this was a heartbreaker. he's clearly controlling the ball.. dude should have just pinned it to his body and fell. impossible to overturn it really.

Where was all this salt when the refs got BAMA last play of the game ...

I thought if it wasn’t called , it’s not a penalty...

Very salty .

Honestly, I'm not sure why people complain about officiating in sports anymore. It's like complaining that the WWE isn't real.

cfb is and has been rigged for a very long time. i still enjoy the drama.

In 15-20 years we’ll still all remember that Saban back doored his way into 2 titles that he deosn’t deserve. Name one other team that has gotten to two title games without winning their on division. Bet you can’t.

Were there bad calls/no calls? Yes.
Did it effect the outcome? Probably.

But what definitely effected the outcome of the game was Kirby Smart pulling a Mark Richt and getting super conservative in the 4th quarter.

The team that played to win won.
The team that played not to lose, lost.

There is no one to blame expect for Kirby and Chaney, and the guys that gave up a 40 yard bomb in OT.

Yes and yes.

And yes to Kirby fricking with the offense and clamming up.

If called properly it's a false start. Play whistled dead with 5 yard penalty. Still no blocked punt.

It's sick to take this mentality. All coaches do this. You've done everything to win the game. Of course you don't go crazy bc that's also how you lose games as well. Had this game been called fair then Kirby is a genius. You cannot take this mindset that go cowboy for 60 minutes. You get a big lead and you sustain. Every coach from Madden to Belichick does this. Refs took this game plain and simple.

I can’t believe you rival fans seriously watched this game so closely. And have taken the time to break out snippets of film to support your whine.

I didn’t notice the false start on the 4th down TD until you posted this. And here I thought Pac 12 refs were the worst.

A 10 point lead with 9 minutes to go isn’t enough of a lead to completely abandon what got you the lead in the first place.
5/6 minutes left in the game? Sure.
9 minutes against the best defense we faced all year and doing stupid formations like wild dawg, na not really.

No one will forget what cheaters the gumps are. Half your championships come from cheating. This one was the best.

The reason you lost the game was Jim Chaney and Kirby Smart. Blame them not the B1G referees who have zero skin in Alabama or Georgia winning. Your coaches choked. Period.

So you don't think a blocked punt at the 15 would've changed the outcome?

Basically you know nothing about football! If the false start is called the play is blown dead and Bama kicks again five yards back. The block still does not happen. Are you really this stupid?
