8 vs 9 winner is often better than the 7vs 10 winner. 8/9 can be a really good mid major or a disappointing high major with lots of talent that is putting it together towards the end (or are hitting the reset button and it’s like a new season start).

Good coaching by Gates down the stretch. Changing up the defense has taken Vandy completely out of the good rythm they had found on offense.
